So what exactly is this about? What are the creature slots? Find out in the readme/documentary.
Where to report bugs or ask any questions you might have? Either (preferrably) at the forum or via e-mail (galactygon@baraban.com).

Bug reporters will recieve credit for bug-reporting, of course, since they ultimately improve the mod. :)

I.      Summary of Features
II.    (un)Installation
III.    Compatibility
IV.    Listing of Creature Animation Slots
IV.    Version History
V.    Credits/Copyright/Mod Usage

I. Summary of Features
------------------------------------------------------------

* Provides greatly increased slot capacity, filled with creatures from various other IE games (IWD1: HoW, IWD2, BG1: TotSC). A player will not notice any of these changes, but a modder will notice them.

* Adds casting animations for mummies, mindflayers, cornugons, glabrezu, tattered skeleton warriors, and yuan-ti spellcasters

* Modifies the Fire Giant appearance to something more savage and barbaric (the current ones are fit for titans, rather)

* Modifies the Pit Fiend appearance to something more close to PnP

II. (un)Installation
------------------------------------------------------------

Although installing and uninstalling this mod takes 10-20 minutes each, the process is as painless as it can be. Here are the steps to (un)install the mod:

Installing the mod:
1.) Unzip LCCreAnimP1.exe in your BGII directory (go to www.rarlab.com to download the utility to do that)
2.) Make sure the following 3 folders/files are in your BGII directory:
        - Setup-LCCreAnimP1.exe
        - Setup-LCCreAnimP1.tp2
        - LC_Creature_Animations_P1
3.) Run Setup-LCCreAnimP1.exe
4.) Follow the instructions to install the mod
5.) Wait for 10-20 minutes while the mod installs

Uninstalling the mod:
1.) Run Setup-LCCreAnimP1.exe
2.) Follow the instructions to uninstall the mod
3.) Wait for 10-20 minutes while the mod installs

III. Compatibility
------------------------------------------------------------

For the time being, this mod is not compatible with any mod that adds extra creature animations. This includes The Darkest Day, Check the Bodies, and Big Picture.

IV. Listing of Creature Animation Slots
------------------------------------------------------------

Finished and Tested Creatures are in bold, while unfinished (and planned ones) are in regular font. Note that some of the currently empty spaces will also have creature animations when I get to Planescape: Torment animations.

how come you always look so damn cool in every photo I see you in?!?

Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.

Still a cyberjock, still hacking the matrix, still unsure of what that means.

I'm glad to see this beast finally out and available. Hopefully it'll provide an effective resource that will allow modders to suprass the normal animation slot limitations and allow us to see a wider variety of monsters in our BGII games. I look forward to the part 2 and 3 of this mod.

Nice, but this begs the question: why don't you simply make up your own? There's not much wrong with using existing weapon animations, but I think it would be simpler to just do new ones.

Adds casting animations for mummies, mindflayers, cornugons, glabrezu, tattered skeleton warriors, and yuan-ti spellcasters

Mummies: Nice.
Mind Flayers: I may be mistaken, but these look identical to the animations already included (the mind flayers have G25 and G26, and they appear valid to me).
Cornugon: This may be a problem with ToB on Mac OS X, or a problem with 3D, but the animation is too wide (whenever the wings are full-span, the cornugon starts floating around on the screen and parts of the interface get drawn around it).
Glabrezu: Nice.
Tattered Skeleton: Nice.
Yuan-Ti: Nice.

I look forward to the part 2 and 3 of this mod.

Me too, especially for the part that would solve the problem with the disappearing corpses (the lack of death animations).

Modifies the Pit Fiend appearance to something more close to PnP

This part wasn't a good choice IMHO (as I already told in the Blackwyrm forums) - Belhifet is a unique devil, and definitely not "Pit Fiend-ish". While the original ravager avatar was totally wrong for Pit Fiends, the avatar of Belhifet isn't much better either.

Hence the name 'Bestial Animations'. :)

A large number of people prefer to see the Pit Fiend as Belhifet (that would include myself). Otherwise, I haven't found any other suitable animation (I don't own any Blizzard games except Warcraft I & II).

I find it somewhat hard to believe, sorry. While I'd agree that a large number of people find the original ravager avatar unfitting, I think the very same number would say the same if the original avatar would be the one Belhifet uses.

Otherwise, I haven't found any other suitable animation (I don't own any Blizzard games except Warcraft I & II).

Diablo 2 has more than enough fitting animations. Check this link for a TRULY fitting Pit Fiend avatar. ;)

Interesting.

I haven't had a chance to try this mod yet, but what I've really wanted for a long time was for someone to replace those awful ice troll animations (which are basically shrunken shadowy versions of normal BG2 trolls) with the proper ice troll animations from Icewind Dale.

Also, BioWare went through all the trouble of putting proper glabrezu animations (from Torment) in BG2, only to leave the summon glabrezu spell (which summons a deadlier Nabassu) unchanged. When I summon a glabrezu, I expect to summon a glabrezu, not a nabassu!
