Hello everyone!
Tell me, is it really possible to continue the Nej (IWD) saga to Severed Hand? I came back from Dragon's Eye with the Heartstone gem and found the fake Arundel who said I should take the portal back to home but the real, dying Arundel said I have to go to Severed Hand. If that's really possible, where I can enter it? It is said to be south of town but I can't find it...

Also, when I came back to Kuldahar and found those orogs terrorizing the village, I noted that all of the townfolk were hostile. Only outdoor people were hostile, btw: townfolk and the priest of Ilmater who was standng in the front of the temple. Luckily they were smart enough to go their homes to discharge their anger... :D Anyways, I don't know what the problem is, why they're hostile. Maybe those orogs infected them? ;) I've seen something similar before in my plain BP game; in SoS part a town is attacked by bandits and I'm supposed to defend it with other soldiers. When the bandits attack, the soldiers go hostile if the battle takes too long (over 30 seconds or so) which fubars completing the quest. Don't know if that yet happens as I'm not there yet.

In Vale of Shadows I had to rely on the help of my good ol' buddy Ctrl+Y even if I had installed Hlid's nerfs. I haven't experience it without them so I'm not sure what it's like but IMO it was really tough, I played on the easy settings and still had to cheat to get past those wandering horrors because I had nothing which would have hit them. They were invulnerable!

As a sidenote, Hrothgar's dialogue was all messed up (consisted of plain answers, it seems) but I fixed it by removing DHROTH.DLG from override folder as told in the other thread.

And a last question which actually has nothing to do with Nej: SBT should transport some of the items to SoA, but I checked whole dungeon and didn't find them. I had the stuff in my main char's inventory when I went to Duchal Palace, although some of the items were in containers. Could this affect transporting them? Anyway, IMO the whole transition went perfect so I don't know what the problem is. Well, it's not that big though, it's just materia. ;)

Uh, forgot again...I have BP-BGT-Nej monster with DSotSC, SotBH, BP-BGT worldmap, BP series and SBT. Installed Semi-multi mod, Planas sphere, Item upgrade and Edwin Romance (with Radwen's fixes) for SoA part.

For the version of BGT-BP-NeJ that we have installed, the Severed Hand is not part of that mod. It comes in version 2, I believe. Anyway, you go through the portal and go back to Jon's dungeon.

The Vale is hard, having a cleric along really helps. You may still have to use CTRL-Y even then.

OK, to the portal it is then...but it seems I have a more serious problem there. When I click the portal, my char says something like "Once again we are destined to take the unknown road..." and after that I get either ctd right away or NO VALID REPLY OR LINK as a reply, and clicking the reply causes ctd. So, crash it is. When I installed NeJ there were parse errors in dialogues but no other warnings or errors. Am I missing something here?

Get rid of Dar before clicking on the portal. He will meet you at the CC.

Well, what does really surprise me that people are still trying to play the old outdated version of my mod which is buggy, lacks many features such as group interactions/banters/continuation of the story/new quests/items/spells/NPCs etc. and still enjoying it. :D

I don't have Dar with me, all are original Bioware npc's so there must be a problem somewhere else.

Ugh, you couldn't have an easy problem. Dar or one of the other NPCs is usually the cause of this problem. You mentioned a dialog with no responses, whose dialog was it? I can always track down that dialog file and see what is causing the problem. Otherwise, at this point, just CLUA to AR0602 (Jonny Boy's hangout) and continue. That is all the portal really does anyway.

Ugh, you couldn't have an easy problem.  Dar or one of the other NPCs is usually the cause of this problem.  You mentioned a dialog with no responses, whose dialog was it?  I can always track down that dialog file and see what is causing the problem.  Otherwise, at this point, just CLUA to AR0602 (Jonny Boy's hangout) and continue.  That is all the portal really does anyway.

Well when I had the NO VALID...reply, my char said the line first ("again we're destined to...") and then Jaheira said the exact line, after which I got the no valid reply thingy and then ctd. Sometimes only my char says the line and I get a direct crash. Weird, really weird...Anyways, already cluaded myself to Johnny's and things from there seem to go right.

EDIT: just remembered that Kachiko isn't original Bioware npc... :P

did you solve this problem? IIRC, the NO VALID LINKS... problem when trying to leave Kuldahar was fixed in one of the early versions of the s_and_h patch, so have you got it installed? i've seen some instances where the NEJ fixes don't install, so if you've got the most recent version of the s_and_h patch installed (version, 7, off the top of my head), try re-installing.

the hostile vilalgers in kuldahar prob hasnt been fixed yet - NEJ fixes for BP are on indefinite hold, pretty much; the hostile villagers problem in SoS (and hostile guards in saradush, and hostile peasants in athkatla) are all fixed by the s_and_h patch.

No, I didn't get it working so I had to CLUA myself to Jonny's. I have patch v.6, I thought it was the latest?
