Does it really matter long term where you distribute your attribute points for a Jedi Guardian (light side) or can I really just put them wherever I feel?

Thanks for the help.

str=to hit modifier, to damage modifier
dex=ranged to hit modifier, defense modifier
con= hit points
int=skills modifier, also affects some dialog choices
wis= force points, force saves
char= influence modifier, force saves(enemy saves to your force power) and adds to attack bonuses to followers..

stats affect all role play games, and kotor 2 is no exception... :P

For a guardian I'd say strength and int are the most important, probably followed by char and wisdom. Constitution is always good, for implants and whatnot and dexterity doesnt really do that much in KotOR2, as you arent likely to use a ranged weapon and the deense bonus is negligible towards the end of the game.
UU didnt mention that wisom also affects some dialog choices.

Depends for Dex, as I take lightsabre finnese, so dex bonus gets added to 'to hit' rolls, what can I say? I play chars that have a different fighting style then me
I apparently have a high level of empathy, combined with a low level of sympathy... weird

In kotor 1 that is a good idea, and sure if you want to roleplay. But if youre power gaming then definately just go for the strength bonus - otherwise you have to waste a feat on finesse and the dex bonus isnt that great...

it's always worked fine for me, and in Kotor I the lightsabre acoutally uses Dex anyway

add the armor overlay and underlay that adds energy immunity. congrats, you are now immune to 60% of all energy attacks, including lightsaber. at the highest levels, or tword the end of the game, they have no probs hitting you no matter what the ac is. so you see, you put points in hurting them before they hurt you, and put it all in strength. :P

Heh, thats my philosophy in most games - rather than tryng to outlast them just kill them as quickly as possible. After all if you kill them in half the time, thats half the damage you would have taken :D
