Ok so I'm trying to run the plague nordock mod, but I find the readme file to provide insufficient help in doing so. First of all, ORCv2.2c says an error "module contains unmergable objects" and cancels. MySQLv4.1... ok so I installed it, then what? I don't know how to use it. NWNX_261,LETOv4.0.18,NWNX-LETObuild-03+18 - "loose in the folder", um, what? I extracted the files to my NWN installation folder, don't know what that "loose" means.

"NOTE ON LETO: If your game install is in a folder other than default, you'll have to
change the settings in inc_letoscript.nss (at the very top) accordingly. Thanks
to some befuddled admins for bringing this issue to my (and now, your) attention. ;)"

There is no inc_letoscript.nss file after extracting/installing everything.

Ok, so could someone help "a bit"? I tried loading the module after doing the stuff on readme eventho I'm pretty sure it's not correct. It froze after the loading module bar was full(waited over 30 mins).

The installation stuff is complicated to begin with, and then there is nothing about what to do AFTER the installation.

Are you running it on Windows or Linux?

There are links to installation guides for both platforms in these forums, try a search.

I don't know where to begin with this case...I've explained everything numerous times to the best of my ability. I know of 3 dozen servers actively and successfully running this mod. Perhaps someone else can expalin things better than I already have-- or perhaps this mod is simply not the mod for you (no offense meant). It assumes you have at least some working knowledge of MySQL and NWN servers in general. I learned all that I know from reading the manuals for the various programs involved. I can only suggest that you do the same, if you wish to run this (or any other MySQL-based) multiplayer persistent world.

I've had precisely the same problem that you've had, and I do have experience with mySql. ^_^ The adventure sounds great, so I'm working hard to work the problem out. I'll be sure to post suggestions when I have them, but for now here's a few things:
- "loose in the folder" means the program isn't packaged up in it's own folder. Sometimes, unzipping a file will put the whole package into a new folder in the destination area (C:\NWN). All the wonderful software in the NWNX series comes with an HTML file in the folder that will tell you what files need to be cut/pasted into the NWN folder.
- nwnx.org also has some great tutorials; running NWNX and MySQL at the same time is tricky enough that it has it's own article in the Documentation section.
- MySQL is a very useful and versatile program, with it's own extensive documentation. The only part you need to worry about is the "installing MySQL on Windows" in the manual you can download from mysql.com
- Leto, unfortunately, doesn't have such extensive help available. There are some great, helpful forums at http://weathersong.infopop.cc/ One problem is that the original Leto hasn't been updated by it's creator since version three-point-something, and all the variations you see floating around now are tweaked for various purposes. That said, I don't think Leto is the problem here unless it's just not compatible with another "Nordock-Plagued Version" application.
- The PRC pack is working wonderfully, and is lots of fun. Try using it on one of your other modules when you need a break from tinkering with this one. ;)

It looks the mod is working for other players; maybe they have some suggestions?

inc_letoscript is a script. You must open the module with aurora toolset, open inc_letoscript and change the path of your NWN installation.
Then you must rebuild the module (you need only to recompile all scripts, not all module)

you must do this ONLY if you NWN installation is NOT installed in default path.
If your NWN is installed in c:\neverwinternights\nwn you do not need to change inc_letoscript

Hi again, "-Hello-."

I think that this freeze-on-loading problem is caused by a lack of memory--it's a huge module, even larger than the original Richterm's Retreat. The reason I say this is that my system has begun giving me the same error when I make too many demands on it. In my case, it's caused by sick hardware, since I have 7GB free memory. However, your problem may (hopefully) be caused by something different. If this doesn't sound like it there is another option! While I'll be looking, with mixed horror and delight, at the prospect of building a new CPU, you may be helped by this excellent walkthrough made for the RR module: http://www.sunshadow.../MySQLSetup.htm Since RR updated for 1.65 uses the same central program suite as RR-Plagued, it should work nicely.

Yes, except for the part about having to build pwdata table (at the end of the document), and minor things like the leto proggie (I extracted all files to the game folder, which is C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN (default) on my install). The leto execution is "loose" in this ...\NWN folder. I can double-click on it and run the leto program from inside this folder.

The script inc_letoscript.nss is set up for the default folder (above). If your game install is inside of a different folder, you have to change the top lines of this script to match your install. Then, hit build module, choose advanced setting--check compile box only, and scripts sub-box only. Then, build button. Then, save the module. And your script is ready to go, and you should be seeing a whole prc conversation setup when you enter the gateway with a brand new PC. This is really where you build your character at--I've recommended choosing your portrait and soundset in the bioware character build, cause the convo doesn't alllow for you to check these out during creation.
