Is ther no way to play this mod in singleplayer?

What do you exactly mean?Is ther no way to play this mod in singleplayer?
You can play in SP if you mean to go alone (e.g. without a gorup). But the MainQuest can only resolved by a group.
But the mod is mainly a MP thing - one hero cannot learn all crafting skills and so he cannot access all the nice weapons etc.

I think maybe he was hoping he could just load up the module and play without doing all the persistent database setup, etc.
