Hello everyone.

I just stumbled across this project. I am at the moment in the process of downloading the various patches and mods so I can finally install your great mod.

Though I have a few questions about the abreviations and what is what.

I read through stickies and some of the other threads and came across BGT-Veiidu (speling?) and BP-BGT-NEJ. Is this the same or are those parts of the same or different mods.

Zelvik, there are actually three way you can go with this.

BP (Big Picture) is a conversion of BG2 only to make various fan mods compatible on one platform.

BP-BGT-NeJ (Big Picture-Baldur's Gate Trilogy-Neverending Journey) is an extention of BP, incorporating all original BG games on one platform, with the requisite compatibility for additional fan mods.

BGT-WieDU is currently being developed to update and improve the original programs that created the BP-BGT setup. It will be smaller in taking computer space (both in downloads and final installation) and easier to install.

BGT-WeiDU is currently in beta testing, but many here are playing it anyway. Just be ready for bugs, and don't be afraid to report them (it even has it's own thread here).

I hope this helps (and yes, I'm a newbie here too, with my own problems/questions thread  ).

Happy gaming.

What I would like to do is play from BG1 to ToB. Does WeiDu do that? And if yes what am I supposed to download?
I downloaded the first 2 mods for BP-BGT-NEJ. Do I need all mods to install WeiDu?

Those are part of BGT, so they are in that folder.

Yes, BGT-BP allows you to go from Candlekeep to god (BG1 to ToB) in one big mod.

new to modding, and i have a few questions. I want to install BGT, and i have all the files downloaded onto my comp. when i try to install it though (with Fixed-BP-BGT-NEJ-310-COMPLETED) it says Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid, but the installation progresses anyway. i think that is for the xPatcher, and as long as i can play the game i dont really care if i start at level seven, so i can live without it :) then it gets to the Setup-BP-BGT.exe and the second error occurs. I press y and then 'enter' and it gives me a warning saying it cant open the backup uninstall folder, so it wont be able to uninstall later. Then it has an error installing it, and because of the last error it cant uninstall it. i have tried a few times, and every time i just end up quitting that part. a pop up comes up that says All installed! This better work! and then the installler continues to copy files. i can get to the point of starting the new game, but it puts my character next to the wagon to the left of the inn, and it immediatley freezes. any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Something i forgot to ask, what else do i need to install TDD as well as BGT, without downloading The Big Picture? I already have both files on my computer, so if more downloading can be avoided, it would be a lot better

Okay, you don't have a backup directory because your uncompression utility doesn't extract folders that are empty. Therefore, go into the BP-BGT folder and create a folder called Backup. However, since you already installed everything it may not matter now.

TDD has two parts, the 103full and the 103a file. You need both. Not sure what you mean by not downloading BP. This isn't going to work without BP.

I didnt download it as part of The Big Picture, just BGT all by its lonesome. and nvm about my last post, i had to un/reinstall everything BG related today cause it was fritzing out, so now I have it unpacked into my BG2 folder, and i followed the read-me instructions exactly, by clicking on the bgt_setup.bat file and let it run through the install, but i dont think its done anything, because the tutorial button is still on the new game menu instead of Baldur's Gate. sorry to be such a nusience...
