Here's the chain of events:

1) Went to Restenford with Pelltar, everything fine, walked around town a little
2) Decide to load a quicksave from before I went to Restenford (at the temple area)
3) Went back to Pelltar who transfers me to Restenford again, except ...
4) Now, when pressing continue during Pelltar's "You will find me either ..." line, the game crashes.

I've tried restarting, re-quicksaving, etc., all with no success.
Also, I noticed the game no takes a bit longer to load between screens (don't know how this may be related though).

Any help to get this back on track (hopefully without restarting the game) would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried clearing out your temp and cache folders? Maybe some file got corrupt in there and is giving you the crash.

Hello cujo,

Thank you for the advice. I just tried clearing both without success, however. Also, I didn't note this above, but when I press continue, the audio goes in a loop about four or five times while the game has frozen, then crashes. I don't know if that would indicate anything though.

The game can take longer to load if you have many items in your containers. Lots of arrows and the like cause different delay problems with the game. If you can't get Pelltar to take you to Restenford, try using the CLUAConsole and move to BH0100. That is the main area of Restenford. Pelltar should talk to you there. See if that skips anything that maybe the problem when moving from the temple (though no one else has claimed this problem). If you still have dialog issues with Pelltar at that point, I am not sure what else you can try. He will always talk to you immediately on entering this area.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't have any success, so I just reinstalled it all. I know I won't make that mistake again.
