If the Tiefling in question's ancestors were, say, devils the particular tiefling would have more lawful tendencies than chaotic.

Good to see Ruad up and running again. Time here in Denmark is 0100 and I'm studying for an exam tommorow but I may just perhaps throw in a suggestion for an item or two later on :)

Tieflings are not necessarily Chaotic; they just have Evil tendencies. I'd expect the PC to have even stronger Evil tendencies, given that (s)he is the child of a LE deity.

Um, how about this:

The cloak was created from a wild mixture of components, parts of them touched by the outer planes. To use its full power, the owner must be either an aasimar or a tiefling, depending on what kind of blood was used. (If the PC qualifies for such a being would be debatable.)

Sorry, I don't know very much about this celestial/demonic planes. If this explanation doesn't work out as well, maybe you could just make it a bard-only item :whistling:

Look out, here they come, and most don't even have a decent description ! *Started a topic with a link to item list*

Just kidding, no need to write description for those items. :D
I'll take you up on your offer, though. :)

Ohohohoh.....How about Nordom's x-bows. Dual wield x-bows (ok...maybe just reduce the speed factor..but you could pretend!!)

And a couple of the Axes that Vhailor can use.

(and maybe Fall-From-Grace's chastity bodice)

OR....what about FFG's diary. Gives instant wisdom bonus, and maybe dialogue like the Book of Wonder, or whatever from PS:T: The one that you just look at and can only say "ooh...ahh"

Or maybe, corrupting influence, and a big XP bonus?

Um. I have to stop obsessing about what might be in FFG's diary.... *whistles and slinks off*

I think the blood of a deity would qualify. :)

Well, if you want to outrule anyone else than mr. Tiefling, the item could be restricted to those of mostly mortal blood only, but with a "small taint". That outrules anyone but tieflings and aasimars.

Half-Deity (PC): 50% Deity, 50% Mortal

Tiefling (Haer): 5% or less demonic/devilish being and 95% or more mortal.

The Cloak of Illusions

Components: A Nymph Cloak, two diamonds, Fireshield Blue Scroll, Fireshield Red Scroll, 5000 gold and the blood of a tiefling (maybe 20 HP damage for Haer'Dalis)

The owner gets charisma +3, an improved bard song and can cast Mirror Image and/or  Blur once a day.

Due to its chaotic nature it can only be used by tieflings (well, Haer'Dalis)

View Post

How about this:

The Bloody Cloak (anybody got a better name?) - by Adder

Components: The Hell trials Cloak, two diamonds, Fireshield Blue Scroll, Fireshield Red Scroll, 20000 gold, permanent -10 hp to Haer'Dalis.
Powers: +3 CHA , +10% Res. to Fire\Cold, Blur - at will, Immunity to Fear, Confusion, and Charm.
Only usable by Haer'dalis.

Okay, so I worked out an item. Please excuse the perhaps bad description, I'm not a native American :)

As I remember, it is possible to kill both the demon and the devil in Watcher's Keep, thus keeping both their hearts, so what about:

Cloak of Fear:

You need: 5 Scrolls of Spook, 5 Scrolls of Horror, 1 Scroll of Cloak of Fear (if they exist?), the two demon hearts from Watcher's Keep (don't remember what they're called, will check if needed) and 20000 GP

Cloak of Fear:

This cloak, created from things as horrifying as they are, radiates a bleak darkness that leaves everyone around in a dread mood. The scrolls, when combined, drew on the fear of people within hundreds of miles, and bound it in the two hearts. The hearts, now beating again with fear as catalyst, were pulled into thin strings, and woven together as a cloak. When worn, a quick chill emits from it and it freezes to the skin, which it won?t let go of. When one puts on this cloak, some of his glow disappears, and others view the wearer with less regard, sometimes even after it has been taken of. The cloak enables the wearer to bathe in the fear that emits from it, and use it against others. At the same time, the cloak uses a shield of fear to protect the wearer and strengthen his or her own courage.

Abilities:
Spook 1/day
Horror 1/day
Cloak of Fear 2/day
Wearer is immune to fear
-2 to Charisma
Every time this cloak is put on, you receive ?2 to reputation
Cursed
Only useable by those of evil alignment

Cloak of Fear will be added.

Though, how about - Spook (6)(-10 to Svaing Throw), Horror (4)(1 turn duration), Cloak of Fear (2)(2 turns duration), Wail of the banshee (1, -4 to reputaion each use).
I believe that if you are able of killing those beasts, this is not too powerful for you, as you can probably cast 9th level spells anyway. :)

Well... here's my try:

Dread Robe of Necromancy-
Requires 2 king's tears, 3 black opals, 1x scroll of death spell, 1x robe of fire resistance, dog bones (de'arnise keep), 1x scroll of protection from undead, 20 000 gp

Dread Robe of Necromancy
This robe has dark air of dread about it, bones and dark gems glittering with power sewn to its fabric. You comissioned this robe to be unique and got what you wanted, no other necromancer has a garment like this in their possession, although they would surely take yours if they could. The powers of Netherworld clung to the fabric like the grasping hands of a dying man clung to the throat of his murderer, it feels fitting somehow, you being the Spawn of the Lord of Murder. The power of the robe protects you against magic as well as melee, and against the undead.

STATISTICS:
Armor Class: 5
Magic Resistance: 15%
Fire Resistance: 25%
User is immune to level drain when equipped
Cast Death Spell once per day
Cast Hold Undead once per day
Weight: 6
Only usable by:
Necromancer
