Killing salamanders before talking to skipper

As per topic, I ran into salamanders before talking to skipper. Now skipper thinks I did not clean up the place

1) You need to talk first to Avery in the Northern Citadel, but you only get the right dialogue if you notice that the alter in the Temple of Helm in the Citadel is locked.

2) There is a problem with Nadalin's dialogue in NTotSC up to version 1.0. I assume it is fixed in version 1.2. What version are you playing? What other mods do you have installed?

3) You need to kill all the Sirines standing around Nadalin's boat as well as the Salamanders.

4) If you are playing NTotSC version 1.0, you can use a crude but effective workaround by using CLUAConsole to advance the value of the GLOBAL 'HelpNadalin' to 2 (I think). That will place him next to his boat ready to take you to the Ice Salamander Island. However, if you do have NTotSC version 1.0 installed, you will have to get used to messing with CLUAConsole to advance globals because several characters' dialgoues have similar problems. It might be easier if you reinstalled with the latest version.
