What will the graphics be like? NWN, BG saga/IWD saga?

I have to agree with Lord J. I too have soft spot for the old BG graphics, granted they're obsolete if compared to the more recent, snazzier graphics. It took me a long time to get used to NWN graphics and crazy camara angles.

It's just that infinity engine is so old that many people would consider it too strange to play with. That's why all rpgs use 3d graphs nowdays, to meet with the demands of the large market of players. Only BG and IWD fans would buy IE graphic using games and Bio wants to sell a lot.

I don't mind the 3D graphics, though the landscapes shown seem too 'mordorish' for my liking. At least it looks like we'll get the overhead camera angles I liked so much about BG and IWD

I played Temple of Elemental Evil and I thought the graphics were fantastic, very detailed. It`d be nice if Dragon Age had an option of switching the camera to some sort of bird`s eye view like ToEE/BG2 had.

The developers have said the demo these screens are from is not indicative of the actual game. Here a quote from one of the programmers:

I also remember them saying a long while back that much of the demo was simply lifted from NWN, but unfortunately I cannot find the quote.

Well, I for one I'm glad if they are not using Aurora Engine.

I really haven't liked 3d in RPG's recently, the people don't look proportional, or it just doesn't have the feeling. The only game 3d rpg that I have played and like how the people look and how the surroundings feel is Guild Wars. Sadly they only have humans as race, but all the people look nice and proportional and the gear looks nice on the character.

They are using an all new engine. Similar to demonstone, but with that over-the-shoulder view (NWN, KOTOR) with the ability to pan out BG/IWD/PST style.
