There is one locked container in the house with the assassin(north one). If u killed the guy and container is out of his line of sight - you can loot it. Otherwise the corpse will report ya and watchers will appear
I often type on shitty keyboards and in dark places. So dont mind my typos. PLEASE.

Or maybe it was just chance, which it is. Still, being Candlekeep you can still be peeked at from outside.Tested in Candlekeep.

OK. Had a real look and the script is different from the normal trigger ones. But doesn't See([NOTGOOD]) not return true if someone is dead?Tested. Did it around 12-15 times.

In BG, there is the house near the palace that has this problem as well. A cat is the only actor on the screen but it alerts the guards if you open containers on the map.

This is very difficult because I do not know where to draw the line between the fixpack and base BGT-WeiDU installation, provided that a fixpack is taking place. Of course, the fixpack could be included inside BGT-WeiDU as a separate component, but that would be kind of useless because everyone would want bugfixing such as this. Any comments on this?I think the problem may be that "dead" is just another state like sleep or charm. Therefore, as long as the actor is on the map and has direct line of sight to the container, you have problems.
In BG, there is the house near the palace that has this problem as well. A cat is the only actor on the screen but it alerts the guards if you open containers on the map.

BTW sometimes you cant steal anything even when there are noone in sight. For example - second floor of FAI.
And it will be WAY better than BG1Tutu way: tons of 'bugfix' packs.

That is one damn smart cat! Reminds me of the ShadowSpawn stories by Andrew J. Offut. Notable, the beer-drinking, sasauge eating watch-cat.

Except for the fact that BG1 never had all of the bugs removed. To us this script problem is a logical bug but obviously it was never corrected in BG1. So, what is really a "bugfix"? This is actually a tweak to the game. Most players would want the container's script to work with calling the guard only if someone could realistically see you opening the container. Someone charmed does not call the guard. Neither should a dead person. However, you are not really bugfixing this problem, just changing an annoying problem in a BG1 script.I think that BGT-Weidu should provide one with bug free and playable BG1:TotSC on BG2 engine.
