Great! This is precisely what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch.

Paraway will be added instead. Paraway is a Wood Elf barbarian that may later become a shaman (dual class). I haven't worked out the kinks in this yet. Paraway was the guide in Aesdale's team. He will be wandering around near the ravine. He will help you on your quest because he thinks the goblins may have Aesdale.

A few decades have passed since my days as a Tolkien freak, but the Grey Company's Elvish appears to be a little quenya here, and a little sindarin there. I would say that the FR Elvish is closer to sindarin than to quenya.

On Tolkien's languages:

Another site on Tolkien's Elvish
http://www.nevrast.net/a.html

The site Cormanthyr* gives the following information on FR Elvish:

"The Elves of Evermeet states there has always been only one elven tongue. However it has been suggested that modern Espruar is a blending of the ancient elven high tongues Quenya and Sindarin, and those elves migrating to Toril brought two languages with them. The gold and moon elves of Faerie that came to the North of Faerun spoke Quenya. The dark and green elves of the south primarily spoke Sindarin."

Whether this is FR canon or not I have no idea whatsoever.
