I've encountered three problems.

First, after talking to Gorpel Hind (Helm and Cloak Inn, BG Northwest) the Maulers appear, but when the fight starts the barkeeper becomes hostile. It took four tries to avoid the rep loss for killing him :wall: , and then I avoided it only because one of Hind's men killed him instead. Is this normal or is this a bug?

Second, after returning to Degrodel (BG Northwest) with the Helm of Balduran, he summons his monsters but does not turn hostile himself. I this normal, or should he become hostile as well?

Third (and this one may have been mentioned in another thread), Petrine's cat (BG North) summons the Flaming Fist when retrieving the angel skin ring for its mistress (Petrine). My thief was hidden in shadows, had boots of stealth and a cloak of non-detection, and the only thing living that could see her was the cat (of course it was the middle of the day... :whistling: ).

ad.1.-yes in original BG he also turn hostile, but don't want to fight...just let him go
ad.2. hmm...I really don't remember...
ad.3. Even dead corpse can *summon* guards...so cat can do the same :P However it is not ALWAYS...just wait until the creature is out of line of sight...

Why is this barkeeper the only one I've met to go balistic? It's easy to say just don't attack him, but not so easy when he pursues -- into the middle of a combat :Poke: . You may as well paint a bullseye on him. Either fix it so he doesn't turn hostile or remove the reputation penalty.

Degrodel summons his monsters, but killing him while still blue doesn't hurt your reputation.

As for the cat (and corpses), I believe it's being dealt with...
