On a previous pass I could not enter the Shadow Dragons Lair - the door opened but the stairs down disappeared. This time prior to the RoT install I used the full Bioware SOA patch + Baldurdash's fixes for SOA. No problems getting to the Shade Lord this time.

This is a possible bug. Found Regis but since I had Jan in party didn't want him so sent him to the Copper Coronet to wait for us. Jan's quest activated so now I had room for Regis. Got the 'Regis has nothing to say to you." message. Had to CTRL-Q him into my party.

I think the problem with entering the Shadow Dragon lair comes from an inherent Bioware game flaw and that the official SOA patch + the Baldurdash fixes correct it.

More problems:

1) Didn't pick up Bruenor after we rescued him so he's back at the Copper Coronet. When I 'talked' to him I got the same "Bruenor has nothing to say wto you" and had to Ctrl-Q him into the party. I noticed that Regis' rejoin is now working -- I had dropped him after we completed Jan's quest. My guess is that something doesn't get set in the pre-join .d file.

2) For some weird reason Bruenor can't use bracers, healing potions or oil of speed. I haven't had this with Wulfgar, Regis or Drizzt.

I had a problem with the AegisFa.itm.

Though equipped, item didn't show uo in the paperdoll's hand, or in the sprite's hand.

Went to DLTCEP and changed the animation type to throwing dagger. Now it looks okay. Have to see if it actually works in-game.

Actually the reason Aegis Fang doesnŽt show is because it has two abilities, throwing and melee. Throwing option is the default. If you choose the melee option, itŽll show in the hand of the wielder.

If you talk to him again he spouts the same speech. Some variable isn't being set otherwise I would suggest an EscapeArea() for him after you speak to him the first time soe he can rejoin the Gutbuster Brigade.

Before I forget - I had a moment of bad 'flickering' in the Ice Temple for one of the doors. Could be because I am running antiquated equipment - Matrox Millenium G400 AGP for the video though I have the latest DirectX installed.

That Pwent thing is obviously a bug. ;)

About the flickering...I know what you mean. It is caused by closed door animation missing. I thought I had fixed all of them but as there were about 200 hundred of them all together it is understandable that one has gone unnoticed. Well, it is a small inconvenience and can be left as it is but thanks for letting me know though. :)
