But think, Kania: this *** Imoen finally get what she deserved! She is wounded, and about to die... if we're lucky, that is.

I am just tired of the implications that BG CHARNAME has to be a male. Yeah, it's in the game itself, I guess, balanced by Imoen as your sister, mirroring Irenicus-Bodhi pair, 3 females' romances to one male... It keeps annoying me, I don't know why. So, I'd say it's Anomen on that wall-paper and term it "The Portrait of the NPCs I Do Not Like Falling to the Dragon". Too bad that Edwin, Viconia and Korgan are missing; that would have made it even better.

There's nothing in this portrait to imply that they're male, besides maybe a suggestive build. That's the entire reason their back is to the viewer. I use the term male simply because, in my head when coming up with this idea, CHARNAME was male.

Well, Imoen looks significantly smaller/more frail than the 'protagonist'; All three 'ladies' have long hair, while the 'protagonist' does not; if the 'protagonist' is a female, than all 4 characters painted on the tableaux are females. All this, strangely, made me believe that the person shielding Imoen is a male at the first sight. I sort of suspect that if you ask a person unfamiliar with BG to identify the gender they will identify the image as that of a male.

Which would still not make that character any more male than they are now.

That's a lovely work, regardless. I'd love to see her create portraits for BG characters ... but not enough to commission her, hehe.

Does she still do commissions? I went to her site but was unable to find anything on them anymore.

This is beautiful work; I've been anticipating the release of Return to Windspear for a long time now. It looks like one of the highest quality quest mods I've seen. Selina Fenech's artwork is going to help intrigue people into playing this mod. Quitch, I'm assuming the original concept and layout of the wallpaper was your idea, so nice work to you too.

*dreamy smile* it could be Haer'Dalis, gloriously cutting the dragon's head off. And Cernd, having beer with Edwin and Korgan. :whistling: Let the balors eat my hands, I never suceeded in trying to draw anything.
Anyways my imagination now has information how Jahe and Im look like. And Anomen's... back... *thoughts about kicking*
I tire... I'll be MUCH MORE AGREEABLE with REST!!

Absolutely gorgeous work. I love especially Imoen there, she looks just like herself with her armor and boots. Wow.

Do you know what program the artist used? I'd love to know. :)

I'm afraid not, you'd have to ask her.

I surprised no one yet called the painting a shauvinist pig's dream , grin. Seriously, I know that most of the young men play BG for the young ladies in it preferable with low-cut armor or none at all, but having all-female npcs in one wallpaper was a bit of an overkill... And Immy's armor on this pic IMHO is more suitable for the catwalk than the dragon fighting. Still it is a cute WP. Congratulation of the upcoming release by the way! I was actually looking forward to this mod for quite a few years. It is nice you guys are about to release it.

Freedom cannot be equated with goodness, virtue, or perfection. Freedom has its own unique self-contained nature; freedom is freedom ? not universal goodness. Any confusion or deliberate equalization of freedom with goodness and excellence is in itself negation of freedom, and acceptance of the path of restraint and enforcement.

Can you make Imoen a little more dressed? I mean her arms and legs.
Jaheira's right fist is too big. She look like flying under the floor.

p.s. Anyway, this is beautiful work. :)

Why does there need to be a gender balance in the wallpaper? Why should there need to be men if there are women, and visa versa? I'd hope that no artist would feel so restrained. Working in the IT sector, it makes me cringe every time I see a Compaq box with four people on it, one white male, one white female, one black male and one asian female, and one of the figures is, of course, wearing glasses. There's only two party NPCs in the picture anyway!

I deliberately told the artist to refrain from the low cut armour and leather thong type style. I can't stand it. I wouldn't dress like that if I were an adventurer, so why should they?

Imoen is decked out in EXACTLY what BG2 has her decked out in.

BG2's Thief character in chainmail look like dressed in clothing - but there is wrong. There is no point to do the same.

Me neither. My biggest RPG complaint has always been that stoopid way of undressing female fighters/clerics etc. Forget the amount of bare flesh that just inviting a lethal swordcut; think of something simple like stumbling into blackthorn or nettles - you'd be sliced to pieces in around three seconds flat.

On mages the long robe is just about acceptable.

Perhaps, I don't understand you: "Imoen is decked out in EXACTLY what BG2 has her decked out in". You mean she was garbed in the robe? In any case, is a more important: are you planing some changes into the WP or it is a last version?
