What time reckoning was in use before the DR?

Specifically, what year was 1500 years before the 705 DR?
[note: 795 ante DR isn't going to help me, since this is for an in-game book which is supposed to have been written at the date]

There are a few to chose from. First of all there's Waterdeep Years, which is 1087 years ahead of DR (so -795 DR would be 292 WY). Then there's Netheril Years, which is 3858 years ahead of DR (-795 DR would be 3063 NY). There's also the Mulhorand Calender, which is 2104 years ahead of DR (-795 DR would be 1309 MC).

If this book were written in western Faerun by a reasonably well educated person, he'd probably have used WY. If it were written in the north by a sage, wizard or other learned person, he'd most likely have used NY. If it were written in the east, MC would be the most likely choice.

I suppose it'll be WY, but Cuv should know better :)

Thx.
