Can this be used in a banter between 2 party members? I.E. If I have Keldorn and Viconia in a party together, could I interject in their argument and tell one of them to take a hike?

That may lower the quality of the game quite a lot, but technically, you can.

This is an example of an added PC's reply to Elhan:

Not really, I was only using it as an example. I dont use Keldorn, I just want to make a minor 3rd party romance in where the two NPCs ask the PC for advice in the middle of their dialog

Ah, I see. Then, if you are going to introduce a new bit of dialogue, you'll be better off with a simple CHAIN.

A BG1 NPC example:

CHAIN _QUAYLJ X#XAQURE1.2
~Never mind, <CHARNAME>! My supreme intelligence has never failed me before, and it will not fail me again! I'll give you heaps and tones of advice, just you wait! And in the meantime, take Xan, here - my extraordinary intuition tells me that to hook him, you need no tips at all!~
== _BXANNN ~Does your supreme intelligence ever tell you to finish the conversation, gnome?~
== _QUAYLJ ~No. In fact, I have an excellent idea: how about I tutor you in the ways of love, Xan?~
== _BXANNN ~*sigh* And here I thought that it could not get any worse.~
END
++ ~No, thank you, Quayle. I've no time for this now.~ + X#XAQURE1.3

Ok, so if I write a banter, and the party members are chatting, I can write

VICONIJ ~Blah Blah~
END

/and then follow on the next line after the end with

++ ~Go soak your head, Smurfette~ GO TO Mars1
++ ~Are you the leader of the blue man group?~ GO TO Bed4

and so on? And then just do EXIT to end the useless prattle?

That makes no sense at all. You'll want:

EXTERN CEFALADOR A_2

Also, I've noticed you changed dialogue filename half way through this chain:

Your first line is using CEFALDOR, then second is VICONIJ, the third is FALDOR (as opposed to CEFALDOR).

I got it, the dialog WAS wrong, but my primary concern was that it wouldnt install at all. I have fixed it, just needs some finishing touches and a couple more chains:

It's exercise, vicious and bury. Perhaps you should offer some other dialogue options, too.
