The other scores are required for a few things as well. I skimped on dexterity the last time I played through, so wasn't able to get all of the paranoid incarnations memories.

What exactly do you need a 24 charisma for? I think was able to convince TTO to merge with me with a 19.

Anyway, last time I finished the game my character had four 25s, a 19, and a 10.

It's not that hard to get 25s in every stat depending on how you play the game. There is no experience cap in this game and potentially unlimited amounts of xp.

With that said, you need a 25 wisdom as quickly as possible.

You need 24 Charisma to unlock a couple of dialogues with various NPCs. I cannot remember the exact ones, but perhaps Gamebanshee can reveal some more?

I wouldn't bother with mods on the first run through. There really aren't any good ones available and the game is great as is.

(Some users have reported issues with the Max HP component, but others don't, so if you have problems try uninstalling it).

No problems with it so far.

Heh... you make me want to replay the game, myself. It's been a loooong time since I've played PS:T. It's never as good as the first time, but... ah, well, where did I put those CD's?

let us know how it goes ;)

also:

minor spoilerish

you've been warned

I almost always put CON up to 14, that way you have max hitpoints for your level when you start
after that I spread them evenly between INT and WIS (if playing a mage) just remember choose a class before level 7 (or is it 9? haven't played it for ages)
I apparently have a high level of empathy, combined with a low level of sympathy... weird
