Yep, now that the year is 2006, is Baldur's Gate still on your list of interesting gaming?

Unfortunately, for the first time I have to answer 'no'. I really can't get in it anymore, playing freezes after a couple of hours... that's what you get for playing it for too long. Well, it's still a great game.

Yes.

Just finished a solo game in IWD2 (Human Druid 20/Thief 10 with loads of mods, notabily Weimer's Additional Druid Spells). Most battles were, like, sneak attack XYZ, cast SunFire, attack, cast Flame Strike on self, attack...
That character rocked :)

I should start BG2 soon enough. That RtW beta has been sitting too long on my HD without having ever been played

Have to admit that IWD II still holds some interest for me... guess the class tweaking & optimizing is somewhat more enjoyable than a plot I've walked through so many times.

Guilty.

Time.

It's as simple as that - I don't play Baldur's Gate anymore because I don't have the time (nor any other game, for that matter).

I've also found that each time I started playing it in the past, I always ended up with a new mod idea, and thus abandoning the game after half the plot.

Its always installed but I dont have alot of time to play. Seems like I am in a constant state of installing and uninstalling when more mods come or updates come out.

Yes, of course. I mean, I wouldn't get far with writing a novel about BG2 without actually playing the game constantly in order to look up this and that.

There's a reason why I create so many save games, so that it is easier for me to look a specific scene up... I often reload an older save game, look at something specific, then jump to another place in the game etc. etc.

Bright side, though; I've managed to persuade a couple of my students to play it, so there's currently this "BG hysteria" at my workplace.

One kid even tried to install it on one of the school computers (BGI, though, but still...).

I play the game every now and then, but I have to admit it is getting "old", and not just from a technical aspect.

Still my favorite. Only game that comes close is Morrowind.

Yes, I think so too.

I'm trying to get them to turn away from the hideous WoW.

Yup. Still playing BG. ^^

Heavily modded of course. I probably would've stopped playing it by now if it wasn't for the mods, methinks.

Still playing.

Yep, I still play it.
Even after having played all the new games, this one ROCKS!!!
With or without mods, it still kicks ass!
