Hello everyone!

Thanks for the mod it's very nice, now if only the ingame models could look like old BG1 that would be even better :P

However, i'm a perfectionist and i have a problem with the helmets. Bear with me i'm pretty new to editing etc.. so i've got some images aswell to help explain.

I have 3 tools im using:

IEEP
shadowkeeper
nearinfinity

Here is a pic of HELM05 in IEEP:

Here on the paper doll:

The paperdoll option is from 1-6 (7 doesnt work for some reason) and changes what helmet is displayed on your guy's head obviously but it also changes the ingame model's helmet:

SO from this i have a winged helmet on the paper doll and a closed face with tail feathers on the model.

My question is where can i change this? I'm trying to get them the same in both settings but the paperdoll option in IEEP changes both at the same time and they look different to each other.

Any help would be appreciated! :crying:

OK, when you put on an item, it tries first to find a PLT for it's inventory display and falls back to BAM. The name seems to be W{P|Q}{size code}{Item Code}INV, so, for instance, HELM21, a dragon helm, has item code H4, and thus displays WPMH4INV.PLT (or .BAM) as it's paper doll, and supposedly animates from the WPMH4??.BAM for the various actions. Except, it doesn't any more. Instead, it seems to animate from the WQMH4?? animations, which , of course, don't match the WP ones. Solution? rename the WP???INV PLT/BAMs to match the WQ animations.

And now I have to go back to figuring out why I'm suddenly crashing going to D'Arnise keep.

Sorry... shamelessly copy and pasting from my other reply:

Unfortunately, the BG2 paperdoll helmets are NOT compatible with BAM files used as paperdolls and so cannot be used in conjunction with the fixed paperdolls. This leads to inconsistencies with the avatars ~ I tried keeping it as close as possible with matching them up but this is about as much as could be done.

However, there might be something you will like in the (perhaps near) future. This might not be dead just yet :)
