Since you aren't making the Avatar changes for the old style shields, could you move all the shield changes into a separate part of the install? That way, my shields could match my Avatars'.

Yeah i agree this is a good idea. Although i love the old BG1 shields having them look different on the ingame model spoils it :(

I second the words of rlilewis and WizWom! Shields should be moved to the optional component section just like for the potions.

The BG1 shields were waaaaaaaaaay much better... :crying:

Unfortunately, both of your requests are not as such possible. :(

The BG2 paperdoll shields are NOT compatible with BAM files used as paperdolls and so cannot be used in conjunction with the fixed paperdolls. Neither is it in my power to restore the BG1 avatar animations. So I am afraid it is either that, or nothing at all. :crying:

However, there might be something you will like in the (perhaps near) future. This might not be dead just yet :)

I really love 1pp ; it is on all my install. BG1 shields are much better ; even if those looks different on avatars, this is a small price to pay. :)

But I really don't like some uneeded BAMs replacement, especially unlimited quivers. Could they be an optional comonent ?

On the other hand, I really love the BG1 short sword +1 (it seems to be made of silver), maybe those can be reintroduced in BG2 with the next version of 1pp ? Same thing about BG1 chain mails. :)

Okay, I'm sure this has been mentioned before and I'm really not up on animations at all, but would it be possible to replace the in-game avatars with those from BGI in the same way you can add new animations from IWD et al? Surely if you just copy over the files and re-name them to replace the BGII ones it would work? Or is it a similar problem to copying over Diablo files in that frame sizes / pixels etc are different for the 2 games?

Not possible for several reasons :
- BG1 avatars have 8 positions, BG2 avatars have 16 (IIRC)
- BG1 avatars are lacking two-weaponing animations
