Hello moder gods  ,
I'm currently attempting the Mega Installation, and since I'm slighty computer challenged, I just want to install the major Mods, their patches and tweaks.
Is the BP_Mega_Install_Instructions_070506.doc the most up-to-date document for installation instructions? Does it incorporate the relevant edits and comments that where made since 07/05 that I have read in the 7 pages of subsequent posts!
I humbly ask for your help

If you follow those instructions you should have no problems and if there are a few minor problems you have come to the right place to get help.

Thanks for the quick reply!
One question: What is teh difference between the Region of Terror Character Kits and the TDD Character Kits?
In the Install instructions, there is a commemt about what to do/not do if one prefer to keep a specific Kit. Which is the better one of the two (if any?).

thanks

I am not sure what the differences are I dont use them because I prefer to use the spcollection from G3 ( http://www.gibberlin...t/spc/index.php ) . You cannot install both the kits from TDD and ROT at the same time because of game limitations of 9 kits per class. Both TDD and ROT fill up that 9 kits per class so if you install the kits from TDD and then ROT you will not see the kits from TDD.

I could be wrong, but I don't think ROT fills all of them like TDD does.

Thanks guys for the prompt help, you are really great
As I said, I want to stick to the Mega-Install instructions as close as possible, so I will stay away from "sp collection from G3" and use the character kits provided by TDD or RoT.
Since TDD seems to have more kits, is it more complete than RoT?
Following the Install procedure, I will be installing TDD first. When I'll have to install RoT, will it override TDD character kits or just skip the install of its own RoT kits?

RoT will detect the TDD kit install and skip it.

Ok, my Mega install is proceeding ahead perfectly so far and I'm religiously following the instructions presented in the BP_Mega_Install_Instructions_070506.doc.
I have reached step 85 where I have installed the ?the bigg?s? Refinements package (Refinements-v3.02.exe to be exact) and I'm working on the 41st level workaround (following the document Refinements_41st_Level_Workaround-1.doc) and I'm stuck! I coonot find the file "XPLEVEL.2DA from the TuTu_Tweaks\XP" in my BGII-SoA directory??

There is my WeiDU.log:

Also, I've just read that "BG ? BGT Worldmap v6.rar" has a newer version: "Setup_BP_BGT_Worldmap.rar". Should I install this second version instead of "BG ? BGT Worldmap v6.rar" with my current installation?

Finally, from what I have read on various posts, it seems that plenty of install tweaks happened since BP_Mega_Install_Instructions_070506.doc. Could any of the modder gods update that file please!

Thanks much.

Ok, I have managed to solve 1 part of my problem.
The "XPLEVEL.2DA from the TuTu_Tweaks\XP" has to be retrieved from the TuTu_Tweaks.exe file (found at http://america.iegmc.net/ in the G3 directory). Just unpact it, don't install!!

Then proceed with the instruction of the Refinements_41st_Level_Workaround-1.doc document.

Younes, that newer version you're referring to is the modified .tp2 file for the Worldmap v6 that King Diamond just released. It is used to replace your Worldmap.tp2 IF you install G3 BG2 Fixpack, instead of Baldurdash - WeiDU v1.5. You have Baldurdash installed so you shouldn't need it.

The majority of major install tweaks are addressed in the body of the 1st post in the thread above the install instruction.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but can anyone explain to me what are the changes/fixes in the new version?
I currently have WM6 installed with BG2 fixpack beta, but haven't met any worldmap problems.
