Another small bug:

When I enter the mill (on my journey to Kuldahar), there's an encounter with some orcs and a big-sized fella. The dialogues are all messed up. All he says is "Each head on this flail has been dipped into a magical poison that will never wear off this weapon o", the rest is truncated. I get all the correct answer alternatives (I remember this encounter, the baddies demand tribute for passing, IIRC), though.

Seems an added weapon, or somesuch, has messed up this dialogue string.
Has anyone else had this, or is it just my build?

A small correction: I'm not sure anymore that the whole dialogue is messed up, rather it seems that the NAME of the character has been replaced with the beforementioned info text of a certain weapon (a poison damage flail).

So during a fight, when that character gets hurt, it states that "Each head on this flail... etc. etc." received so-and-so much damage. The whole info text comes up, with the stats and everything.

Anyway, luckily this doesn't seem to mess up anything vital.

Will say here that whole dailogue is messed up none of that should happen. Hopefully none others appear or else your going to run into other weird dialogues latter. Do you have Hrothgar at this point or not? If not it could be becaue he is not in the party. I have never run thru it without him so can not be certain on that.

In my case it was the result of a somewhat bad install. One of the small mods had overwrote parts of NEJ. There were a few characters names that had weapon descriptions/dialogues instead of names. The other was Yuxonemei iirc. Played through without other problems and finished NEJ though. It was most likely COM encounters or one of the NPC mods in my game.

Yes, Hrothgar is in my party. He has to be for the mod to function, according to this thread: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=21553.

Aside from the orc, the sentinels one (or two) levels above Yxunomei's lair also had messed up character names. Yxunomei herself, though, was correct in my build.

Wonder what mod causes this, then? I do not have CoM Encounters or any (stand-alone) NPC mod installed.

One problem with this bug is that I never got to see the NAME of the weapon, only the info and stats. If I'd gotten the name, maybe someone could have recognised it, and we'd get confirmation on which mod causes it... The first weapon (the one that replaced the orc dialogue) was some kind of poison flail. The second (the one that replaced the sentinel dialogue) was a mace/morningstar... don't remember any details on that one, though.

Well... like said before, luckily this bug isn't fatal (at least not yet ;) ).

The creatures with messed up names usually happens when you reinstall mods in the wrong order and then use your saved game, it messes up their strings.

Then I must have something else, because I have not reinstalled anything. All was done in one, continuous session. The only thing, now that I think of it, is that I did uninstall a certain tweak from my BG2Tweaks install, but that one was installed at the very end, just before WM6.3.

No quest/item mods have been un-/reinstalled.
