Copper Coronet problem

Hi, Ive been using BGT+BP+NeJ and have got through BG1+mods,NeJ and begining soa. Ive had a few problems but managed to clua my way through or used SK ect. At the moment i can't get into the Copper Coronet, when it trys to load the area it quits the game. Has anyone else had this problem and have a solution? If someone can give me the area code then ill see if i can clua myself in. Also where can i trade in the merchant league banknotes?

the area code yr looking for is AR0406.

before you CLUA there, be sure to clear yr cache and temp folders in yr BG2 folder - if this doesn't work, try placing the file i attached to this post and entering AR0406. it seems as thos one of the big mods - possibly TS-BP - is corrupting the .are file, making the area inaccessible.

Ok it's all fixed :), i explained it in the topic you had a link to.
You wouldn't happen to know where i can trade in the merchant league banknotes(for full price) btw??

i've got the Coronet issue.
i have:
- deleted beast.cre and beast.dcs from override
- cleared cache/data and temp
- replaced the areafile 0406 with the one linked here
- deleted the beastmaster (actor 3) from my baldur.sav

this pretty much was everything i could find with the search function yet i cannot enter the CC, crash to desktop when loading the area. i also had a crash to desktop in the docks when hovering the screen near the thieves guild ((temporarily?) could solve this one though).

some ideas besides reinstalling would be appreciated.

i think that's a known bug in version 6.04 of TS.... try downloading the new 6.09.

you can try extracting all the copper coronet-related files (including .cres listed in ar0406.are) from TP-BP v6.09 and placing them in yr override folder - assuming yuo get all the files, it should work; altho for best results you'd need to go back to a save before you'd entered the copper coronet.

What is the basis for assumption that TS damages areas in BG2? TS doesn't touch CC. Moreover, it doesn't touch BG2 areas except AR2600 where Coran is located. The problem is that high-level Nalia CRE is bugged in the original BG2. She is created in AR0406 not through area script but through Bioware's mechanism of creating NPCs, and crashes the game. This problem has been addressed already in Baldurdash. Since people stopped using the original Baldurdash, this problem has re-appeared. I have recently released Baldurdash-WeiDU v1.6.4 where this problem is solved. Maybe CamDawg would like to introduce this fix into his FixPack.

What is it that is wrong with the Nalia's, Vlad? The only thing I could find about Nalia.cre in the v164 .tp2 was the spell slot fixes being commented out for Nalia8, 10 & 13.

I suggest to merge both posts. You can try and summon all Nalia CREs from 8 to 15 and see who is crashing the game. There is a problem with this block:

Probably, a wrong offset. It took me some time to find out that Nalia is responsible for crashes. Then I took out this block, and the problem has gone. I didn't come further to find which offset is erroneously set and in which CRE as I didn't have time. So, the quick fix was just to remove the whole block. You may try to go into this problem more deeply and to correct the bugged offset.
