None of my business, just passing through, just wanted to point out...
advantages of a single all-encompassing installer which
a. checks each required resource for completeness/correctness in installation
b. then copies relevant basic resources from the installed base
c. then unpacks a pre-repaired, tested, uniform override folder (even biffed if required)
d. then allows freedom from the base install (mod or not, delete, whatever)
e. and is installable/uninstallable from the desktop/shortcuts along with standard professional install games and programs
has distinct and obvious advantages from a modding and trouble-shooting perspective. The creation of a multi-lingual set of versions (or even an interactive choice on install, just like your favorite non-gaming programs) is no more difficult a task then switching the base install and override used to create the installer.
If
BGT already accomplishes all this, then you folks are right, and there is no advantage to building a similar
BGT installer. Space issues (which I think are pretty moot in this day and age, where space is relatively easy to add) aside, serious players want comfortable, simple, no-hassle installations. And regardless of platform/game choice, anyone downloading either
BGT or EasyTutu is by definition a serious player.
