[Anomaly]

I am testing on a clean BG2 install (for testing purpose).

On america.iegmc.net there is one full 6.3 version and a separate setup file. None of them work.

The full archive give me these errors :

The separate TP2 and the one included in the package are much the same, except this (diff's output)

So obviously, something is very wrong with america.iegmc.net's version (downloaded today !). And by the way, if you release new versions, please use different versions numbers ! Now there are several Worldmap 6.3 on the Net and I don't know which 6.3 this particular version is.

There is indeed a patch, but like I said, the Worldmap won't install even with the patch. The error messages are not the same though (first quote block = errors I got without the patch, third quote block = errors I got with the patch).

Anomoly, you need to edit the .tp2 so it states worldmap.tra as opposed to setup.tra, then it should install fine. If you look in your languages folder in the BP-BGT-Worldmap directory under the language you are trying to install the file name is worldmap.tra. Once I made the change mine installed fine. Ok... i downloaded both files eight days ago and it seems to me that the patched tp2 points to an unexisting file; setup.tra, while the non-patched tp2 drives to the unique existing one, worldmap.tra.

Have you checked which *.tra has actually your language folder? I guess from the other topics discussions that it should be worldmap.tra, but that's only my own assumption based on what i have.

Better to wait for an official response... maybe you can't introduce the mod in/for the/a megamodification without actually having it installed

I downloaded a fresh copy of Worldmap and installed it onto a mega-install and this time it worked flawlessly. So I learned 2 things :
- You need to have a mega-install for the worldmap to work
- You DON'T need to install the patch at america.iegmc.net

there are inconsistent travel times from Durlag's Tower: 48 hours to The East Wood, but 40 to Larswood, 32 to Ulcaster School, but 16 to Nashkel, Carnival, Fierwine Bridge. Some unnamed areas have wrong times too. It really should be revised.

If your using BGT you need the world map or none of the original BG locations will show up.

fucking hell - that's our fault for releasing different versions of the worldmap with the same version number: guaranteed confusion. if i understand the problem correctly, because yr using the fixpack (as everyone should) you need ot download and use a version of the Setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap.tp2 that has been corrected for the fixes made in the fixpack.

you can get the corrected tp2 from the iegmc mirror, or you can download the identical version i've attached to this post. there's a new version of the worldmap being worked on that should remove this problem in future...

extract this .rar to yr main BGII directory and then run Setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe again - and let me know if you still have problems.

oh - and yes, you absolutely need the worldmap if you've got any of the BP family of mods (ie, TDD) installed; otherwise you won't be able to reach any of the areas added by those mods.

It cant find a translation at @1010 thats why it died, this is the same problem that alot of people are having.

ok: first thing - my apologies, Gort, for being so intemperate.

second: is AUTO_TRA case sensitive? because if it's failing at @1010, which is the first line of setup.tra, then it's not finding setup.tra. and setup.tra is at

BP-BGT_Worldmap\language\English\setup.tra

but the tp2 is saying:

AUTO_TRA ~BP-BGT_Worldmap/Language/%s~

unless i'm being blind, there's nothing else amiss between the AUTO_TRA and the BEGIN @1010
