I did everything in the set order, but when I play BG1 areas, Ulgoth's beard and Durlags tower do not even exist. All other places work flawlessly, just not sure why These areas are inaccesible.

They should be. Did you check the island north west of BG for Ulgoth's beard? Poost you Wiedu log.

Ulgoth's Beard appears on the map after you first enter Baldur's Gate. Durlag's Tower won't appear until it's marked on your map when you accept Ike's tour or the dagger quest.

I have the same problem! Only completed BG again yesterday, and was grief stricken to find myself immediately teleported to BG2! What happened to ToSC?! :(

I did the mega install by the book as well, and everything works fine (no crashes or anything - fantastic!), aside from the fact that there seems to be no way to get to Ulgoth's Beard. As for Durlags tower - where do I go to start Ike's tour or the dagger quest?

Ulgoth's Beard is on an island to the North West of Baldur Gate: no really it is. it should be accessible the first time you enter Baldur's Gate. if it isn't, CLUA yrself to ARU000 (Ulgoth's Beard) and then leave the area: you'll find pretty quickly where yr located on the worldmap.

as per original BG:ToTSC, you can't start Durlag's tower unless yr in Ulgoth's Beard.

Just so there's no confusion - I'm speaking about Baldur's Gate the city, not Baldur's Gate the game. ;)

ulgoths beard never appeared for me, but the area code was just the ticket, and now i can see ulgoths beard on the map, woo :D
