[Hopper7577]

Hi,

Just encountered a big problem .. some of the enemies (i.e. Troll) will not die.
Their icon shows "near dead" but they will not die.....
Please help!

Something with the installations that doesn't make the troll fall over in order to use fire or acid arrows.....
Even tried the cheat trick to kill it with 'control Y'.......takes over a 1,000 damage points and not fall over...

I figured you had. I remember seeing something about the trolls not dying, but for the life of me cannot remember where it was. Let me dig a bit and see what I can find.

EDIT: Found something. Looks like it might have to do with UB. Did you just finish the Boo quest by any chance?

It might also be with the fixpack. One version had problems with BP.

Possibly. I am just going by the reference I found here where others were having the same problem and they did not have the Fixpack installed.

The latest Fixpack release, beta 3, solves the unkillable troll issue. The OP has beta 3 (components 109 and 110 were not in the previous versions).

the UB problem relates only to the three trolls that you find in the Druid Grove during the Minsc quest, unless i'm mistaken. we need more info from the original poster as to where the trolls were unkillable before we can blame it on UB.

Actually the troll I'm having problems with is in the early quests, De'Arnise Hold .... a random troll....

just as a possible in game fix, you could add the level 9 spell chapechange (jaheiras new innate for NEJ) or put a scroll in your item slots with Shadowkeeper. Most unkillable creatures will die when attacked by the mindflayer. There is also a "psychic drain" innate ability which seems to autokill anything.
