Kit Description string - what am I missing

Ive got a custom kit installed that, for what ever reason does not display the correct kit description in the game. I updated the kitlist.2da file (HELP) with the proper string reference to my description in Dialog.tlk, but instead I see the string for the what seems to be the parent class. The MIXED and LOWER references seem to be working. Is there some other place I need to update string references?

I take it that you are using WeiDU? If you are using WEIDU this is the code I used for a Kit once:

This was me just testing to see if I could make a kit, I really don't make them in my modding. Note that this particular kit cannot be selected at start-up as there are no races allowed to use this kit.

Yeah. Im using the same code. So everything seems to work except that my kit description in the UI does not reflect the string referenced in kitlist.2da for my custom kit. The string reference it seems to be using references a description of the parent class. I looked up the string in dialog.tlk and found the string ref id, but could not find it used anywhere else. I am using NI to interogate my game files, so maybe it just cant find the reference. Ultimately, I was wondering if someone had some insight into the exact linkage between the kit description text one sees in the game UI and the strings in dialog.tlk. Obviously, there is some nuance that I am missing, because all of the info that I have looked at so far indicates that I should be seeing the custom kit description.
