Is it written ANYWHERE just exactly how many skill points you're supposed to get at lvl up? For instance, I got a scout (4)/consular (1) with 14 INT (+2 bonus, or at least it's supposed to). I would think when I lvl up as consular I get at least 3 skill points (1 being the min you can get, and my +2 bonus), but I just get 2. Is it that the game is very dull and I just get my bonus as skill points, or it's a fixed amount of skill points for each class (which is not written down anywhere... annoying)?

So... any info on that?
"I set on this journey trying to understand why has metal been stereotyped, dismissed, and condemned. My answer is this: if, listening to that music, you don't get that overwhelming rush of power that makes the hair stand at the back of your neck, you may never will. But you know what, it doesn't really matter. Because, judging from the 40 000 people around me, we're doing just fine without ya." :) Cheers! And two horns up for metalheads all around the world!

The bonus skill points at level up is equal to 1/2 your INT bonus. (i.e. An INT bonus of +2 will net you 1 bonus skill point) :devil:
Scoundrel = 4 + 0.5 * INT bonus
Scout = 2 + 0.5 * INT bonus
Soldier = 1 + 0.5 * INT bonus
Consular = 1 + 0.5 * INT bonus
Sentinel = 2 + 0.5 * INT bonus
Guardian = 2 + 0.5 * INT bonus

That is why it's a very bad idea to create a Soldier/Consular. :lol:

Thanks a lot for those answers :) Although, seeing how little feats you get, in addition to the skills, it seems a bad idea to choose a consular ANYWAY, no matter with what class you dual it. Btw, what happens when you have an odd number to the INT bonus? Do they round the 0.5*bonus to the lower or higher number? :blink:

If I remember correctly you drop fractions - you can see the effect with Jolee having only 1 skill point at level up with 12 INT.

Back from the brink.

Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".

These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

It's the common rule that bonuses from attributes e.g. intelligence are rounded down if the number is uneven e.g. 13.

Thanks for the info Bluenose... I saw that just after posting the comment ;)

Archmage Silver: thanks for the answer, but what I meant was that if you got an odd bonus (i.e. let's say you got 16 INT, so +3), what is the skill point bonus you get, since your +3 is supposed to be cut in half to +1.5? +1 or +2? Obviously the answer was that the game was very cheap on skill points and you get only +1. Pfeh. (OK, OK, maybe I get a little too power gamish at times)

Well, basically if you have to round something up or down in a system like the one in KotOR, it's always rounded down.
