The first time i talked with Shaella(the crazy lady) i screwed up the sequence of talks so she got upset and disappeared. Now i just returned from the candlekeep and found out that without Shaella, Hasdar(the guy standing next to Shaella, looks like an Easter egg) won't speak to me so i can't get the quest. Is there any other ways to get this quest? Or maybe someone can tell me how to edit the save file so Hasdar or Lobar would talk to me about the book...I've been play this game for weeks so really don't want to restart the game.

I think you can just kill off Hasdar and go to Haeball in his tower in Larswood, and Haeball will give you the quest.

hmm.....just some role-playing question here,
how the heck will you know that we need to "find Haeball in Larswood"?
Because i have gone through the dialogue with Hasdar & found the Book of Unknowing & have him killed,
but there's no such dialogue mentioning about Haeball or whatever thing,
is this a bug?

No. Hasdar has been commisioned by Haeball to get the book. In the end, it's Haeball that wants it. He wants the bow too. If you stumble across Haeball after killing Hasdar, he'll mention to you the fact that you screwed up his plans, and give you the opportunity to make amends.

okie...if that's the case,
been there,done that.
But when i go to the Larswood to meet Haeball after i killed Hasdar's colleague & he took the book away,
he just sell things to me & mention nothing about Hasdar,
and i can't even get the dialogs option.
Did i missed out something?

I'll take a closer look at all these things with NTotSC as I play thru in my game. It would be nice to make up a patch that clarifies things a bit.

then he end up turning hostile to me,am i doing something wrong?
ok,that's a small matters......

Then i found a mage's body in Haeball's house,
went back to Solitary valley to send back the body to the demon,
but i just do not have any option to choose!!
what's wrong with it?
Is this a bug?

Do you mean the bow which i obtain from the wood elves?
Since Fey'doch's bow is the same with other wood elves,
does any elven bow will do?

I have the body & the bow in my possession too,
but the demon still wont recognize it.....

Now here's what i am having here.....

just pickpocketed the bow from Fey'Doch the elf leader,
then found the mage's body from Haeball's tower........

Still, the demon wont talk a single thing about their freedom.....
Is there any global to trigger this dialogue option?

For the time being CLUA NTMISC13 and see if it works. If it doesn't then try NTMISC06

Strange..... NTMISC13 is the body of Fey'Doch,
whereas NTMISC06 is the mage's body.......the demon don't seem to recognize it.....
and the demon only recognizes the body of the elven leader....there must be something wrong with the source code.......

Here's the most strangest dialogue ever.......
the demon recognizes & takes Fey'Doch's body away,
yet he proposed me to go & kill him & get the bow for the demon........

I guess this is one of the inconsistencies in this mod......

It's an old bug that's been reported several times, and I thought fixed. Apparently not, so when I do my runthru of DS and NT I'll see about straightening out these dialogs and clarifying things.
