Due to university digging into play time, I can't really afford to replay the game over too much if I screw up in the romance. Thus, I was wondering if there were any rough checkpoints in it that would give me an idea if I was on track with it. If there is, could someone give me an idea or is Shadowkeeper the only way of checking (Assuming it works with this one).

Haven't actually gotten Fade yet but I can soon so I look forward to seeing how this mod ends up.

The actual globals are the same as for any romance - 1=pursuing, 2=she's yours, 3=you've blown it. On the whole she's pretty forgiving, but she does have a few flash points... ;)

Basically, don't be too mean to her (but don't feel that you have to agree with her all the time), don't try to push her over back to 'the dark side' again (she's trying to distance herself from the past) and don't mock her about Keita and associated past experiences (they're pretty obvious on the whole). There are a couple of times when she is unreasonable and there is no way you can avoid upsetting her, but you won't have broken the romance - give her time and she'll come back and apologise for being oversensitive. If you do screw it up, it's usually pretty obvious that you have screwed up - she doesn't mince her words and will tell you that she doesn't want to have anything to do with you.

Hopefully the ToB part will be out pretty soon - Sil's got problems with her internet connection right now (completely out of her control - they're due to an earthquake!) but as soon as things are back up and running, hopefully you'll be able to finish the whole romance off, not just the SoA portion. I really hope you enjoy and don't run into any major problems! :)

Alright, I'll keep all that in mind. Assuming I don't have a brain freeze, it seems I should be able to manage then.

Kind of a bad place to put it I guess but I don't think it warrants another thread, I have run into a small bug. Not sure if it's due to the mod or just something random that happened. For the quest to get that talking sword under the Copper Cornet, instead of actually getting the sword I ended up stuck with the useless shaman's staff. Unfortunately I did not think to save and retry or anything since I only wanted the XP in the first place but I thought I'd mention it anyways even though it is kind of minor.

Regardless, thanks for your time and I look forward to playing through this mod over the next few weeks.

Hmmm... odd! I don't think (I'll have to check - I've written so many interjections over the years I may have forgotten one!) I wrote anything regarding that quest, so we had no reason to change anything in that area, so there is no reason why she should affect it - do you have any other mods installed right now?

Nope, no other mods. Just a fresh install of the game and then Fade was added. It's probably nothing and was just my bad luck that it happened. I should have reloaded and tried again but the thought didn't occur. Sorry, heh. Hope you don't waste too much time going over it if you do.

Did you install the G3 Fixpack and the ToB patch? It's always recommended that you install the Patch and then the Fixpack before any other mods.

G3 Fixpack I have never heard of but I did install the ToB patch. The only reason I mentioned it is because in the past, with just the patch, I have gotten the sword just fine. Thus why I thought it might have been related to the mod but maybe it is because I am missing the G3 fixpack.

I have just redone this quest to make sure what I end up with at the end. All four of the items collected are removed from inventory and I end up with lilarcor. So is it possible you didn't place all items in the right order or finish it?
You did get the cutscene at the end which places lilarcor in your inventory, right?

PS: I just have a Fade only install so if the quest did not complete Fade is not preventing it.

Heh, and mind this could be the very silly thing that happens with Lilarcor: IIRC whoever stands closest to the sword animation as it's spawned gets Lilarcor in their inventory. I've had countless times that the sword ended up in Minsc's rather than my main char's backpack. Are you given an item at the end of the cutscene?

G3 Fixpack I have never heard of but I did install the ToB patch.

Recommended to install right after the ToB patch (it fixes numerous issues): BG2 Fixpack Forums and the Download Page

Right now, due to testing, I have a Fade only install and I also couldn't reproduce this. Ernie is right, though - the sword can end up in anyone's backpack. I've even had the situation where it tried to go into a full backpack, got dropped, and I didn't realise it...

Just a wild shot in the dark if this isn't the case, but do you have the Baldurdash patch installed? Because I know Sil's coded with that in mind - if it wasn't installed, it *may* explain the glitch.

I do not have the Baldurdash patch installed either. I only have the TOB patch from the Bioware website installed and than Fade. I figured it was just a bug on my part. Should have kept my mouth shut and not bothered so many people >_< heh. Not like I actually wanted the sword to use.

I'm sure I finished the quest since I got the quest XP. That's not something I would have missed and I distinctly remember the cutscene and it saying I got an item and seeing that useless shaman's staff staring at me again.

It really is no problem - in fact I'd rather things were reported; always make sure you tell us these things - just because no one has reported it yet, doesn't mean it isn't a glitch / bug / problem. One of the most difficult things about modding is that no matter how much you try to guard against all eventualities, someone will always end up running into something! There's a couple of things that you may notice in this install (nothing game breaking, just glitches) that we know about and have been fixed for the next release (due out soon), but if people don't tell us, we don't necessarily know there's a problem, so it's a good thing!

I would recommend installing Baldurdash - uninstall Fade, install, Baldurdash and then reinstall her. It shouldn't affect your game, and you should be able to carry on from your original save. She has a stringfixer, however, if things do get confused (if she's saying odd things) - highlight her portrait and press the F key to sort that out. :)

Actually, not to be the commercial man, but I'd recommend BG2Fixpack instead of Baldurdash. It does everything Baldurdash does, but better, and it fixes other stuff as well.
