BG1: Helms

I was just wondering if helms can be contaminated by the iron poison just like iron weapons and armours.
If yes, is there anything more that can be contaminated and become rubbish ? Shields, perhaps ?

Normal (non-magical) shields are already subject to shattering in BGT (helms are not).
Thanks for your answer. Do you perhaps know if this is valid for the unmodded version of Baldur's Gate and EasyTuTu as well ?
