Please post your WeiDU log. The only way to use a save game is if your Worldmap was previously installed at the end of your install after any mods that made changes to your dialog.tlk file. Then you can run the Save game converter at the end of your Worldmap install and be on your merry way. If changed the installation order in any way with mods that make changes to your dialog.tlk, then your dialog strings will be in a different order and you won't be able to use your saved games.


I know the exact order of my mod installation (alphabetical :))
Sorry, but I am a noob to BG mod-s, so I don't know where to get the log. For that matter, I can't seem to find my BG2 saved games despite the windows search function.

look in the folder where you have bemain.exe. Look for weidu.log

Hey, I'm new user of mods so I hope my post isn't misplaced...
I've got a problem with Worldmap 6.6.
Indeed, I have a crash to desktop when I try to open my map in game.
Is it because I've got a french version of the game (I'm playing BGT)?
I installed the MegaMod version of Worldmap, The huge map, revised times, new worldmap for tob and revised area.

I tried to install Worldmap to fix RoT (westchar did not appear on the map), but it doesn't seem to work. Setup starts and closes, and cannot be launced again. Your Worldmap.exe tried autoupdating to the WeiDu version 20200 from 200. Try deleting the WeiDu.lock file and re-run the Worldmap install. Verify that the BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe size is the same as your other exe's 1st though to be sure it updated correctly.

On top of Erebusant good feedback, I would suggest to check you don't have an anti-virus or firewall that prevent the update to go throught. Blocking such file modification is a known protective default behavior.

Or one could manually update the WeiDU.exe, by first getting the newest and then copy/pasting it to the same directory so that there are two but the once name is changes to 'Copy Of WeiDU.exe' and then copying the exe's, that's needs update exact name and deleting the whole exe, after which replacing the 'Copy Of WeiDU.exe' to the name you just copied.

It was an intentional mistake ... i've moved RoTerror and Bonehill folders to another partition(lack of HDD space) just before enbiff doing his job during installation of BWP 5.7 (when biffing END-WAV1.bif ~1.5GB (why isn't made even with END-WAV2.bif ~700MB))....restoring RoTerror and Bonehill folders in game folder will correct the posible error (if it is one)?

That happens in all mods debugs. WeiDU "parses" the .tp2's prior to performing any actions to be certain there are no fatal errors that will occur during install. I'm sure someone else can give you a more detailed explaination. It's not really something as a gamer that you really ever need to worry about unless you have difficulty installing a mod.

is there any way to convert your map to an jpg or something? i'd like to have your worldmap outside the game to take closer look at some parts.
or can't you just post a high resolution version of you map as an png or jpg?

Well, the Near Infinity should be able to open the file if it's installed into the game... and the BP_BGT_Worldmad has a patch(.bat) inside it for bigger memory usage in NI, so use them.

is there any way to convert your map to an jpg or something? i'd like to have your worldmap outside the game to take closer look at some parts.
or can't you just post a high resolution version of you map as an png or jpg?
