So does anyone play online and actually roleplay in fact? There didn't seem to be much of the same for NWN1 from this forum which I found strange.

I'd recommend Exodus found HERE. The world is still in development but they're close to opening a test environment, plus they desire folks interested in actual role play versus those just looking to level up.
