I don't think anybody made any NPCs strictly for BG1tutu... so I did!

This mod is uncompleted, meaning their initial dialog will run perfectly, and they will join your party and stay in your party without error, but if they leave your party or if you kick them out, the .p dialogs won't function properly. Try as I may, try as I might I could not get the damned .p files to work!

Maybe somebody with a little more modding experience that I can take this idea, run with it, and really make something special out of it! I just don't have the time...

Download

Xavia is a NE half-elf assassin
Mulgore is a CE half-orc barbarian

Anyway, somebody with BG1tutu try this out and post what you think on here!

Hello Grave, nice idea!

Well, i´m just wondering if the NPC´s have his own dialogs after they join your party, or not.

i´m also want to know if there are especific missions related with them.
Where men gather, a bustle of chaos ensues. I would save them all, if I could.

lol, it seems i´m the only one that downloaded this mod a lot of time ago...i think Mulgore could be CN instead of CE. That would make the semiorc more friendly for non "evil" players.

Sorry this is probably stupid question but, tutu = ? Which expansion ? I only know Tales of the Sword Coast. So I don't know if I can test this out.

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.

Do I read it correct that tutu makes changes in BG2? Cause you must have saves to return to the original BG2. I'm not getting this sorry

Basically, BG1Tutu is a mod that allows people who like to play the original Baldur's Gate I and Tales of the Sword Coast on the Baldur's Gate II engine. This means you will play the whole BGI storyline in BGII graphics, which is nice. The menus in BGII are better and you also get access to all the kits to play in BGI. For example, you could travel the sword coast as a Level 1 Monk, which is something new to try. People have had some problems with BG1Tutu, such as bugs and crashes, but there's something called the BGTutu Fixpack you can pick up at:

http://www.pocketpla...d=134&Itemid=94

Just click on a mirror on the right. But install this after BGTutu, which someone gave you a link to. After you are done with BGTutu and want to start playing Baldur's Gate II again I believe the process is simple. Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't done this yet but I think you can uninstall BGTutu and then Baldur's Gate II will simply run as normal. Some people just install Baldur's Gate II twice on their hard drive and then change only one of them into BGTutu. You can do that if you want to have both and you have plenty of hard drive space. I recommend BGTutu because also there are other mods that people make that add custom quests and new npcs to BGTutu. A good site for these is:

http://www.ironworks...f=1;t=003743;p=

By the way, Weidu is a program used to download mods. You can find a place to download that on Google or something. Hopes this helped you.

Is this being hosted anywhere right now? Be a shame to loose this great mod.

I'd hazard that Icelus' mod list is the most up-to-date at PPG.

Yes, after the game in TUTU is complete, the program makes a final save that, upon uninstalling TUTU, can be imported into BG2 (just like vanilla BG1), and the game will continue from there with the same protagonist (but with BG2 NPC cast).

Uhm... WeiDU is used as a distribution tool, yes, but it is so much more, and can be found at the author's, Wes Weimer's site, called (surprise, surprise!) www.weidu.org

Wow, feel like an idiot for not checking his mirrors first, thanks Ashara. :new_thumbs:

Have a cookie, you deserve it. :cookie:

**EDIT** Checked all the download mirros and no luck. The link you gave me seems to be dead. The Pocket Plane modlist links to this post as well.

You still get the cookie though. You did try to help.

Umm... MajorTomSawyer, were you searching for link to this mod on behalf of modlist entirety, or just to get it for yourself? If latter, I might be able to stuff it to you if you've got mail that accepts such large attachments ;)

Care to send the file my way, MTS? I'll try to get a hold of the author, and if he doesn't mind, I'll put it on IEGMC. Thanks :)

Uploading the file now (-note 8.79 to yahoo on 56k; not fun). I found your email on the html file for IEGMC. I hope that is the right one to send it to. I CCed it to myself, just to be safe.

The Mod installs fine, with the exception of the P files, as Grave mentioned. Specifically, the following block:

IF ~~ THEN BEGIN 9
  SAY ~Keep out of my way <RACE>, and ye won't get hurt!~
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~
ActionOverride("xavia",JoinParty())
ActionOverride("xavia",SetDialogue("XAVIAP"))
ActionOverride("xavia",SetGlobal("KickedOut","GLOBALS",0))
SetDialogue("MULGOREP"))
JoinParty()
SetGlobal("KickedOut","GLOBALS",0)~ EXIT
END

Or the .DEBUG file

[MulgoreXaviaNPC/xavia.d] parsed

[action list near line 60, column 36 of MulgoreXaviaNPC/mulgore.d] PARSE WARNING at line 64 column 24-24
Near Text: )
	syntax error
WARNING: cannot verify action ~
ActionOverride("xavia",JoinParty())
ActionOverride("xavia",SetDialogue("XAVIAP"))
ActionOverride("xavia",SetGlobal("KickedOut","GLOBALS",0))
SetDialogue("MULGOREP"))
JoinParty()
SetGlobal("KickedOut","GLOBALS",0)~: Parsing.Parse_error
[MulgoreXaviaNPC/mulgore.d] parsed
Processing 2 dialogues/scripts ...
Adding MULGORE to internal list of available DLGs
Adding MULGOREP to internal list of available DLGs
Adding XAVIA to internal list of available DLGs
Adding XAVIAP to internal list of available DLGs

The rest of the mod installs fine.
I hope someone would attempt to fix this bug. It doesn't seem like a big problem. I'd do it myself, but I'm still learning myself, not to mention I'm a Tutu newbie.

ActionOverride("xavia",SetGlobal("KickedOut","GLOBALS",0))

Should be GLOBAL

SetDialogue("MULGOREP"))

Should be

SetDialogue("MULGOREP")

Thank you very much. ^_^

I've uploaded a patch that can be downloaded here. Perhaps TheWizard would like to upload it as well? I'll PM him. ;)

So . . . can this mod still be downloaded? None of the links in this thread seem to, well, work. :mellow:

WOW! :woot:

I can't believe people are still interested in this! I made this so long ago... I almost forgot about it!

I'm glad to see people are still using it... hopefully you guys can 'flesh' out the characters more!

:cheers:
