I love Aarin Gend. I wish that there had been a similar romance for my female PC in BG2.

My favourites have to be Deekin, Valen (loved the romance, especially when the dialogue fix has been applied that makes that one conversation that never gets triggered actually work, and with the Mimic conversation re-enabled. I do so love making Valen blush. *grins*), Nathyrra, Linu, Aarin, Fenthick, Daelan, that creepy dwarven monk guy (Grimgnaw?), and Dorna. Those are not in any particular order, though.
I hated Nasher. I thought he might be different in NWN 2, but I soon realised he wasn't. Though I did love the Richard the Lionheart look he had going on in NWN 2.

He's the one cool-looking wizard with a awesome voice-set (While playing online, I made a characters based on him, with his vampire portrait and voiceset)

My main favourite was Deekin, I always let him join. Nathyrra would be second. If I could have recruited her I would've had the Valsharess. I loved her outfit and even though she was evil I quite liked her.

Maybe I just haven't gotten far enough, but I don't understand her evil alignment. It seems like she only has it so that she can be an assassin.

Well, if you think of the PC as a joinable character then I'd go with him/her. Not because of his/her premade Bioware backstory etc, but just because I'm the very best and so the characters I make/play as are always the best too 
Otherwise, Deekin. Gotta love that "Doom Song" and besides, he's just an all-around lovable character. He's a kobold bard, has an awesome soundset (moreso in HotU) and I don't seem to ever bother changing his equipment from his starting gear but he still manages just fine. Lastly, he's your ever faithful side-kick.
Now I think I want to play through SoU and HotU with Deekin again...
