It's a shame what happened over at esf, it's a great thread to showcase mods and I felt anyway it was a benefit/asset to the forum. But I guess some people just like stirring trouble and the moderator rather made a hash of it. Ah well their loss, many people here take great care and effort to produce such good screens and stories and I'm very proud to contribute my meagre efforts. Anyway more screens, girls spending a day in the country....

those are amazing. in the screens where you have 3 charachters, how did you customize them, or did you make them with the cs? because they aren't default npc's.

Well, the /best/ way, to do a retex, is the way you did it with the bikini. Replacers aren't the best way to do it, imo. I mean, make the texture from the original, yes, but, don't save over it, is a better way to do it =)

So, editing the original texture isn't the way to go? Or is? I'm confused.
The way I did it with the bikini was grab a texture off the 'net (from a free texture site), resize it and save it as a .dds Open Nifskope, load up the mesh of the item I wanted to edit and change the texture to point to my new one. Someone asked on TESF if I'd release the pink latex-looking Amazon armor but I didn't really want to as it just seemed too amateurish the way I did it. The pink was supposed to be wool but ended up like plastic So, I made a mat for my houseboat with the actual wool texture, seeing as it didn't turn out right for the armor

But if it doesn't bother people that I don't re-tex like Koldorn then I don't mind sharing I haven't sent them to anyone, but others could also point out where I could do better, or if something is weird. That'd help, of course.

@ Kalia - Ya know, I'm making a companion mod for myself with all my favorite girls including Jade and Nina, which means Jade isn't all yours ! I know, thats a lot to swallow, but don't let it dampen your ego!

Now for the bad news, it seems IG Hector is suffering from severe case of Hefner Syndrome.

Yes, I'm going to be making another stroy, and that doesn't mean the other one is stopping, this one is going to be more of a Comdey than an epic tale. It is going to be fun to do!

By the way, Kalia, did you get that quick-fix I made for Pip's neck?

Righteo then. I'll gather up the files as I put them in my own folder. I hope that doesn't matter that in the CS they point to my folder and not Exnem's. If it matters I'll change it. When I make my own mods I put them all in my own folder to find them easier.

I've only done little bits here and there the same way as you, open nifskope and point to another texture file. What's the link to the free texture site you mentioned?

Funnily enough patchworking websites are a great place for fabric textures
I just put "free textures" into Google and oodles of sites come up. I haven't bookmarked any inparticular so don't remember specific addresses.

Adel...oh, is a she. I scratched out my previous comment which included the term he I didn't look at the name. I don't normally read everything just come for the pretty pictures

I have some pretty pictures. Well I think they are These were taken in the final room of Ceyetatar. The red/pink glow in the last three images is from one of those illuminating staffs I chucked on the ground as it wasn't very bright in there.

Hector - Yep, thank you so very very much! I'm, uh, -- - erm . . . working on someone new . . . . I feel kinda bad, after all the hard work everyone did on Pip. Pip'll still be around, I promise! I just am not that good at *finishing* things . . . . plus, those glowy face tats combined with the exnem body tats were just toooo tempting. And, everyone else is doing goth girls. Gotta fit in!

anywho, here's the first rough draft of new girl:


The ears are put in the lower teeth slot (using that new combined teeth thingy that takes up only one slot), so they show up even when wearing wigs. And helmets. Probably hoods too, which might look a little odd. But more comfortable than bending one's ears down under an iron helmet! That's gotta distract ya in battle . . . .

Oh, MystykStar retexes! Coolness. That purple's looking particulary nice - it'll match my new girl's tats!

But, yeah, how about making them new items? and, say.. putting them somewhere in the game world. If you don't know how (I'm pretty sure you do, but, I could be wrong =) ) I'd be happy to work you through it.

At the moment the outfit is stashed on the floor of the testing hall
I'm not one to dump everything in the market district as it takes me too long to get there. Hmmm, I'll find a place in the world to put them. Oh, I have mine set up as armor, not clothing. I based mine off Mithril as I needed some icons and ground models that weren't like some of my other retextures - robes. I have quite a few purple robes littering the testinghall

It's nearly 2.30am on the east coast of Australia so I'll set about changing them to clothing and putting them in the world much later on today.

Yeah, where's that Akubra Not that I have anything to wear with it, but that can be fixed
I wish I knew how to model. Blender is too scary for me.
