In responce to the Sarevok romance, I'd like to point out he DID love someone, Tamoko. So it's not totally odd. I'm not sure what I think of a romance with Joneleth (LOVE that name, btw), but it would be very interesting, especially hearing Jon spill about Ellesime.

You could always set up a poll to see when people generally do Watchers Keep, and what their reactions would be to delaying it to the ToB segment of the game.

Yes - it makes sense actually. I wanted to write a quest including extended Demogorgon and some other abyssal adventures as you could have guessed, plus Jon-Jon and the wild/dead magic zones , and the Lum's machine is begging to be explored.

Poll is a good idea.

why not a "bribe" the npc who warns you about not exploring watchers keep until tob, offers to sell you a wand of spell strike, and a ammo belt and a couple of minor items...

npc: hello, the all powerful and mundificent dorotea would like to take this opportunity to suggest you do not explore watchers keep at this time, as the stagehands and back stage construction crew are not finished with all the backdrops and props for watchers keep...bloody unions, we hire them to finish the work in 4 game weeks, they are now in game week 6 and still not finished...and they insist on their hour long char breaks and get positively snooty and bloody rude anytime "overtime" is mentioned...to make this a little easier, i have been given authorization to sell you these items, a wand of spell strike, an ammo belt and a few gewgaws....so what do you say???

pc: ok, i'll bite, lets see the loot, flunkey-boy...
pc: not a bloody chance, i want in, or i bash out your teeth...

npc: no need to get rude, why are all bhaalspawn ruder than a new york cabbie, i wonder....at any rate, there isnt a thing you can do, old boy, as we have appropriated the wardstone for watcher's keep, and we wont let you have it until later...ttfn!!! (ta-ta-for now...)

I'm not sure what I think of a romance with Joneleth (LOVE that name, btw), but it would be very interesting, especially hearing Jon spill about Ellesime.

I was once really curios as to the source of the name and in one of many on-line english-elven dictionaries I found this

Gion ( Jon ) simply means 'child'

eleth - 'elven', belonging to and elf
the other meaning is 'star'

So the wonder boy has a sophisticated name that means Elven-child or if you like it better Star-child very appropriate IHMO - it puts me into mind of Oscar Wild, for whatever reason, and the Portrait of Sir Dorian Grey.

And yes - I have a notion to write a long and teary conversation with him about Ellesime ...

Sounds like a plan! Muah-hah-hah!

Ahem. I am not really good at evil laughter though ...:)

This mod will obviously require ToB but not nessessarily Ascension. The Ascension part will be optional.

It will give you Jon for entire ToB as joinable npc.

It will have a palusible explanation for his appearance, hopefully believable enough.

It will have many in-party npc iteractions and conflicts.

It will have additional quests and (a few) new items.

But mostly it will have a terrific ( I hope plot)

Romance option is unlikely but possible for especially twisted female PC's of non-evil alignment.

Yes, I am currently writing the mod itself as I always consider the written dialogs to be the basic 'meat' of the project. I have a pretty good idea in my mind of what I want to accomplish and where I am headed with The Longer Road. There are few 'Easter Eggs' in store in this mod, which I intend to keep hidden for now but the basic idea is in the Forum blurb.

Still, any new ideas are always welcome. I want to thank everybody who discussed it with me and triggered my creativity yet again.

Please don't hesitate to start any discussion here or even rant how much you hate Irenicus and what a piece of refuse I am for trying to drag him out of Hell again!

Hi, Fellow Concubine! :) Am back from my little trip now, and have finally had the time to start reading this forum. Looks like a very interesting project for certain. Many difficulties to overcome, what with NPC:s being mad at Jon-Jon and such, but I have great faith in your capability in doing so, and shall follow the project with many expectations. :)

Hi Lauf! /Waveth a tentacle at Laufey/ I am soo glad you are back! I hope you are not dissappointed at the latest developments - we did a lot of work inthe Edwin's Workroom.

Thanks for your support for the Longer Road. It has been brewing in the lower cellars of my mind for months now. :)

Hopefully I can pull it off without serious disruption to my other projects. At this point it is too early to go into the fine details of this mod, but I would be more than happy to hear your opinion on the parts I post in the Attic.

Cheers!

Looks very promising, as I said! :) I've checked the workroom too and it sure looks as if you guys have been very busy, which is great. :) I haven't had time to check Silverstar's files yet, but I'll do that when I get home 'properly'.
