During the installation:

[SOS/BAF/CBBANDED.BAF] PARSE ERROR at line 8 column 45-45
Near Text: )
[StateCheck] argument [STATE_NORMAL] not found in [State.IDS]

I've checked my STATE.IDS - the state is present there.
Checked the script CBBANDED.BAF. It appears that it cannot be compiled until the /*....*/ block is deleted.

Check the issue please.

A /*....*/ block shouldn't be in a BAF. Just change it to a //...// block, and all should be well.

No idea if this if from version 1.12 or not, but CBCTWBOW.itm has an incorrect feature block offset for its (only) extended header; 6 instead of 4.
This may not be a SoS issue if another mod has altered the file since it was installed, but it's not my install so I can't check.

Hello. Some spanish people are complaining about the Fence kit causing a CTD. Any idea on what can be causing this? The mod install fine and their Weidu.log seems ok. However, something that disturb me is that the name of the kit appears in english, and of course, it should be shown translated.

I was trying to install Sos 1.12 on the tutu installation
(Following this order http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=8122) and as far as I understand the framework, it should work fine as it is wei-du.

But I got the follonwing error:

....
[SOS/BAF/CB307PAT.BAF] PARSE ERROR at line 83 column 27-27
Near Text: )
Type mismatch in "ID" argument of [Heard].
Expecting type "integer".

ERROR: compiling [SOS/BAF/CB307PAT.BAF]!
Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Shadows Over Soubar, v1.12], rolling back to previous state

Thx for advice, I'm not even sure if I can install common wei-du addons on tutu version of bg2, pls explain why if it is not possible.

Um... SoS is a BG2 mod. Tutu is a BG1 conversion to the BG2 engine. Hence, a BG2 mod does not install.

I'd qualify this as a bug. I finished the first round of quests for Selence (stealing from Ribald's, etc.). She gave me the key to her room at the Copper Coronet and I retrieved the pair of letters from the dresser. But when I traveled to the Umar Hills, there's no cutscene (there should be two, I believe), and nobody related to the quest (Varros and Kothonos) is at Vincenzo's Inn. I played SoS a couple years ago and didn't have this problem. Perhaps I'll just have to manually spawn Varros and Kothonos? I don't know what else to do.

Edit:
Well, it seems I done figured this one out, after examining the BCS file. The "sealed" letter from Selence's room is supposed to be unidentified, but when I first find it it's already identified. Using CLUAConsole I created an unidentified version and got rid of the identified version. Possessing the unidentified letter and its companion letter is the key to triggering the cutscenes and the subsequent spawning of Varros and Kothonos, and all's proceeding just merrily now.

I'll keep adding to this post, assuming the forum software let's me re-edit it...

-- Not-So-Bugs --
- The Major tells you to put your stuff in "this locker" - a Bag of Holding. Why not put one (or 6) real foot locker/chest in one of those little rooms next to the Major's office?
- The manacles have a BAM of gloves of something-or-other. But there's a default bam of cursed bracers or gloves that actually looks like shackles/manacles. Anyone know which one it is?

-- Bugs --

: To Be Continued :

The manacles (cbmancle and cbmancl2) look the same as the Ogre Power ones.
If it is the Bracers of binding you are thinking of, then the bam is IBRAC11 (BRAC11/item code)= Bracers of Binding.
Or maybe the IBRAC08 for (BRAC08/item code)= Gauntlets of Fumbling.

Those were the only two I could think of. Hope that helps

Cool! I think IBRAC08/Gauntlets of Fumbling match up nicely.

Is the Fence kit CTD appearing in your non spanish installations or did you not suffer it?

I didn't recruit Selence so I don't know about the kit.

I have heard that it still crashes lately as per the Big World roject. Selence doesn't crash, just picking the Fence Kit at character generation. I have no idea how to look into kits to diagnose them. I believe it will crash right at starting the game. Not a spell or special ability.

Hoppy is right. The crash occurs at character generation, right inmediatly after select the Fence kit through the mouse.

I dunno who the kit ninjas are, but maybe that kit worked in other versions. The walkthrough describes the kit's pros/cons, but I think that may have been the non-weidu version.
