[NOTE: SAMPLE: PLEASE DO NOT BUILD THIS AREA . Though if you like the idea, it is freely given to you to implement. ]

1) What type of area artwork are you requesting: Indoor or Outdoor?

Indoor and Outdoor

2) Specifically what type of area - city, dungeon, forest, something else?

A small tower and village.

3) Size of area artwork requested? (Remember that the game has size limitations.)

At the artist's discretion.

4) Where in the game will this area occur and which areas will it link?

This area will be in BG2 Shadows of Amn, anywhere south of the existing Trademeet. It will link any surrounding areas on the worldmap, and of course the interior of rooms.

5) Should the area artwork have both night and day versions? (The artist will essentially have to create the area twice - think hard if you really need both)

For the interiors, no, but ideally for the exterior master area, yes.

6) Describe your vision of the area in detail! Give some backstory to the area, the intended use, a sketch of the intended area artwork...

This is in suport of a quest involving saving a village from an Evil Overlord™ who is Keep/Tower interior remains static. 5 rooms: (GreatHall leading to Armory, Library, Bedroom, Guest Room, Kitchen, Storage Room. Can be one level or two levels.)
Master area:
Initial area is wilderness with one cleared stone walled keep/tower. No road just open grass approach. Small village just outside the gate with some houses, a blacksmith shop, and an inn.

7) Will the artist have some freedom to compose the area, or should the request parameters be followed to the letter?

The artist is given wide freedom, with the following lmitations: recycled areas in the keep should look different than standard recycled BG2 ones.

8 ) Are there any special features you need? (for example a statue that opens to reveal a secret passageway etc.)

The keep/tower/fortress part should have black banners with the symbol of Cyric on them.

9) Any deadlines?

June 15th, 2008 expected alpha test release, with final release by September of 2008.

10) What game and what mod is this for?

The Evil Overlord™ and The Reluctant Princess™

or

50 Ways to Cleave Your Captorİ. (just slip out the backjack, Jack... get a big frying pan, Stan, find a troll toy, Roy, and set yourself free...)

11) Anything else you'd like to mention?

This is a serious request, by serious modders doing serious things - full credit and rights granted as a partner in the modding team, glory and honor as appropriate, and bone-breaking back-crunching horribly tedious time consuming work expected. Hard and fast deadlines, and a tested cooperative collaborative team. Lots of willing alpha and beta testers. And of course money. Lots and lots of money. (OK, so it is monopoly money, but hey - how else are we gona pay you 100,000 a year with no development funds...)
