Any problems/ mod conflicts i should be aware of that u guys know
?
I just wanted to make a really big install for insane difficulty and many areas etc.

I do have some issues at some scripts especially when it comes to city guards or when i steal something from a store though i dont know which mod is responsible.
Examples :
a: Stealing Ribald, a guard attacks him instead of me till he is dead and then stops completely so i get away.
b: The guard never summons any more guards.
c: Generally guards are almost never summoned for anything. Some kind of error or creatures missing.
d: Ribald also sells 5 empty entry items for 0 gold which if bought are unmovable.

Last I had a script problem with priests of cyric (with strifeleader kit probably) in slave compound. ( the creature file is Slapri.cre if im not mistaken) Their circle randomly dissappeared during combat so they became untargetable.

Other than that and an insanely powerful "ettin" in the slave compound who was like a dragon in difficulty cause he shot 3 HUGE boulders per round dealing 25-40dmg each with large area of effect, practically stunning the whole party, knocking it unconscious and killing everyone in almost no time ( was like 30dmg fireball/breath weapon per 2-3 seconds except that it was physical dmg so stoneskins ftw), I had no other issues. Was that just from the high difficulty setting or ... ?

Those giants are a b----!! Those boulders are a little different than my last install of BigPicture where I had different mods too. The last time they had a trap-like effect on my party areas and the animation looked like a flying trap. I am really scared to do the Darkest Day quests because in Trollford Hills giants are going to be all over the place. :o
On the flip side boulders are great weapons to have for Wulfgar or other STR19 fighter because of their massive stunning effect. Your difficulty setting will help. Also, the ettins aren't too bad if they are in an enclosed place- cloudkill and icestorm are two of my favorites as well as Cloud of Pestilence (awesome sound effects on that one -CHOICE)
Good luck and happy gaming!

"If you think that a size of the mod indicates an amount of bugs that it introduces and their severity you're totally wrong...
Try not to use next time a load of shitty "super-mega-improving-tweaking-revising" small mods that you have installed and try to meet Wulfgar once again."

SimDing0's Quest Pack and The Longer Road should be installed before Rogue Rebalancing. The Longer Road, The Darkest Day, Shadows Over Soubar and Tortured Souls and a few other mods on your list have not been tested for compatibility with RR, and the "Additional Shadow Thief Content" component from the Quest Pack is incompatible with the "Shadow Thief Improvements" component of Rogue Rebalancing.

For more information on mods which may cause issues with Rogue Rebalancing and the recommended install order check the compatibility guide.

Yeah its like a trap that emerges below the characters and has an animation effect like a breath weapon cone of cold from Adalon or something, and does insane physical dmg in no time :S Giants ftw ^^

Ok thanx a lot for the suggestions Avenger I havent installed Shadow Thief Improvements" component of Rogue Rebalancing anyway so im fine there. I had no idea that RoT was completely untested with the other mega mods :S sucks... But still ill try it i guess. Ill just install RR after Questpack and LR then.

I havent installed Shadow Thief Improvements" component of Rogue Rebalancing

Just a small note, that component has been heavily revised from what it used to be in v3.11. It's now much more manageable and also features difficulty level scaling. Also, 90% of the combat encounters can now be avoided via stealth. In short, "Shadow Thief Improvements" is significantly easier and much more balanced in the recent versions of RR.

I had no idea that RoT was completely untested with the other mega mods :S sucks...

I don't know about other mods, I was just talking about Rogue Rebalancing. It's entirely possible that both mods could work fine together, but so far, I haven't been able to get a confirmation on this. Of course, you could be the first to test and confirm that RR and LR are indeed compatible with each other. :)

Ill just install RR after Questpack and LR then.

In general, I always suggest that mods which haven't been specifically tested with RR should be installed before it. It usually produces less conflicts that way, so make sure to install Longer Road and any other mods which are listed as untested (or are not mentioned at all) in my compatibility guide before Rogue Rebalancing.

May i also ask which components of the rogue rebalancing mod are sort o "dangerous" or should i say incompatible with LR and Dingo questpack?(and i should be aware with them now that i installed it before them) I mean u did say that RR should be installed AFTER them and not before them. For which components did u mean? For everything or specific ones? ( plz let me know which ones if its not much trouble for you, so that i know what i should be aware of specifically once i reach LR or quest pack areas.)

Thanx in advance

All components of the Quest Pack are compatible with RR except for "Additional Shadow Thieves Content" which only conflicts with the "Shadow Thief Improvements" component from RR. The Longer Road has not been tested (i.e. I haven't received any player reports on compatibility) with the latest versions of RR and it might potentially cause a (non-critical) problem with the ToB portion of the Chosen of Cyric component (since LR modifies Cyric's pocket plane challenge). That's why I suggested installing LR (as well as any other untested mods) before Rogue Rebalancing. Quest Pack should also be installed before RR because otherwise RR can't detect the "Additional Shadow Thieves Content" component and adjust itself accordingly.

Ok thanx Avenger.

Btw I have atm 2 major bugs in my mega mod installation any idea why?

1)Guard summons don't work properly meaning that if i kill innocent people in big stores like Adventurer's Mart or in Government District (Tolgerias for instance or more innocents in there like Aristocrats) no guards at all are summoned to kill me.
Furthermore the Amnish guards in there NOT only don't kill me, but usually they try to kill the person that went hostile on me even though I was the first to initiate combat/ or steal something and was caught.

2) Some times, mobs cast spells on themselves (priests of cyric, ogre mages, in Probe's building in docks where the 2 wizards attack the group with a flesh golem and imps and cast spells on themselves) and they roll their "magic resistance" ( i dont know why but it seems that for some reason they roll magic resistance even when they buff themselves) and the circle around them is lost forever thus making them untargetable forever. The only way to kill them then is aoe effects and autotargeting from scripts.

Any one has any ideas what mod conflict might have such results?

Another major bug probably some conflict from either RR or bad scripting incompatibility with bp and some other mod.
At the flagons inn when starting the summonings with Haer'dalis and Raelis Shai etc in "AR0510" I think, after the 2 quasits that the fire elemental comes, I noticed that the bard Haer'dalis was casting spells on my party and tried to kill Drizzt and then Kivan. As a result all the npcs went hostile when I hit him, the summonings stopped and the quest was ruined...

Any ideas?

PS : I did extended searches and nothing came up about it

EditUpdate :

Meh its an old bug I found a thread : http://forums.gibber....php/t7592.html

Funny is this bug still persists after all that time and it mainly happens for nonbioware npcs hence I got it with Kivan and Drizzt.
As far as I've seen in the thread, I doubt if a permament solution was ever found  <_<

It may be with the BPWTSIGHT.BCS, well, on the other hand I am not sure if that affects Haer D or even Drizzt. Two solutions to this problem.
1.Have Haer D in the party when you rescue him from Mekrath and do the planar play summoning hocus pocus
2.Or if you don't like NPC's who whistle while they work, then let the summoning begin and Haer D will get a case of identity crisis and attack whoever. Turn your AI script off and let him follow someone in the party around while the rest battle the minions. The duke should come and the cutscene resumes. FWI, I did this little workaround before and then continued the quest to free the troupe and Haer didn't attack at the end when they all were freed. Try those.

Hehe thnx its ok I 've already finished the quest with the 2nd way u just said its just that I was wondering of a more permanent fix as this seems to be a common problem for many installations.
