I think that Irenicus in theory *could* romance a human, but it would have to be rather difficult. As in, you have the say the EXACT right thing, no if ands or buts. Also, I think the intelligence/wisdom requirement would have be exceptionally high, maybe even 16 or so. I think that a half-elf would almost be more difficult that a human, half-breeds are looked down upon quite badly. Really though, since the char is a Bhaalspawn, I think that would make up for the human-ness. Maybe something in the end could grant the char immortality, if she agrees to stay human? Just a thought...already done by Lord E I do believe, in RtR.

Sorry for my silence - I was feeling a little bit down these last few days. But I am still working on this project and have no intention of abandoning it. In fact you may see more posts here soon.

About raising the intelligence and wisdom limits to 16 - good point - but won't this be an overkill? On the other hand I cannot see anybody in their sane mind romancing Jonny casually, so either you have a character to fit (or create one) or you don't . Since all my chars have int 18+ ( and charisma 6-7) I have no problem with this. :) Most of the romance is going to be rather extensive discussions on the matters far too serious to be any fun for char <16 int.

Immortality after PC gives up the godhood is another matter. But since Jonny is immortal no longer it may not be a problem. The human romance may have a different flavor though ... we will see.

I would make a charisma requirement as well.
Charisma isn't about beauty and apperance- you can have a 18 CHA and still be as ugly as anything, it's about presence and the ability to persuade someone to your way of thinking. Even if you have 18 intelligence, with poor charisma, your arguements will seem weak because you don't have the talent for phrasing them in a way your listener will understand and appreciate. Tact, you could say- with a low charisma, your more likely to just say the first thing among your mind- "You're pathetic. What sort of moron comes back from the dead to try and join up with someone they stole the soul of?" compared to "I'm don't understand. I'm sure someone as intelligent as you has some sort of reason for wanting to join up with me, but I fail to grasp it.".
What's more likely to get him to explain his reasoning? ;)

Just an idea, though. ^^

Heh, a well placed stone in my cultivated garden. :) I shall think about it. Maybe Cha>=10? At least average. And mind it - the int, wis etc conditions are only for romancing the devil, not for saving his butt out of the Abyss.

And by the way - he is not going to be the one to ask you take him in, and thus you won't be able to insult him with this line. More like you guys will have to find a compromise who is taking whom, and for what reason.

hmm, just curious. Will the epilogue of Irenicus in the longer road be different from the one in Redemption?I mean,if protagonist is not romancing him, will he still be able to affect his future (for example by talking to him making him want to redeem himself)?

There will be 4 different epilogues at least for Jon, and romance one can also go two ways. If you want more information pm me about the other forum. :)

As of now, no. I'm not so bad at writing romantic mush... better than other stuff anyway.

Alright! I can definitely use some advice in this department ... I should finish more 'serious' stuff first - the whole 'join the party' sequence, and it is growing longer and longer since Jaheira is bitching, Jonny is snapping back and PC generally is not happy - but as soon as I am done with this, and about ... mmm 8-10 serious non-romance dialogs (yikes!) I will go back to 'romancing the stone'.

As you can guess the mod is sorta shifting into Soulafein's structural direction - ie Jon will talk with PC regardless of gender-alignment and these are 'serious' dialogs.

Now if you manage to find some common ground with him and *are a match* you may get some strange dreams ...

So far the match would be female elf, half elf of *any class* or human *arcane spellcaster/bard*. Since I don't think Jonny would fall for human paladin or a half-orc...

alright! this is going to be great! :) Good job!! I cant wait for this to come out!

Ah. The Attic database has been a subject to numerous experiments lately - half of the old quizes just dissappeared. If you want to read this dialog and more you can request a password to the LR workroom. PM me, but please be aware that once you spoil yourself you will never be surprised again, and also that I prefer all the discussion/corrections to go in this password protected forum.

Sorry for the dissappearing act lately - I am intensively working on finishing the Edwin Romance and LR was moved to the back burner for a while.

Oh well, because I'm so strikingly beautiful and sucha great guy, I can outlive it... :D Tedronai besides a great Chosen is a great guy. And very modest of course...:)

But for sure, I'll pm you for the password to see what dialogues are there. Irenicus is my most favourite character and Warner (Freakazoid) is awesome. :)
