I was wondering how birthdays work in the forgotten realms? Do people have individual birthdays? Or is the common fanatasy system of everyone being counted a year older on midsummers day in effect?
Thanks for your time

I couldn't find a definitive statement on the matter when searching but there were a lot of results that indicated people throw birthday parties or got powers on their birthday etc.
This to me indicates birthdays work in a similar manner to our own because whose party would you go to if everyone's birthday was on the same day? Also what significance does a midsummer day have as opposed to the actual day you were born?
Is someone born a week before midsummer considered one year old on midsummer day?
Though I would think that the midsummer birthday may be celebrated in poorer communities or certain parts of faerun.
It throws up an interesting idea: perhaps there is room for a birthday mod...surely at least one NPC has a birthday while you're travelling with them!
