I found a mod called Oldblivion that will help Oblivion run with a lot better graphics on a low end computer.

Found here: http://www.oldblivion.com/

If you've never heard of it and *have* a low end graphics card, I recommend it.

Hopefully some people here already use it, because I have the game installed, and the mod installed, and I can't seem to get the mod to work. I start it up, everything seems to work, I get all the messages about various things working until that window disappears and the game client starts, and then it just crashes on me, giving me the generic error message.

Help? Please?

I know the mod itself works, I've heard glowing praise for it all over and the people I've recommended it to have reported it works fine for them.

PC Stats (Read them and weep. For me. D: ):

1.6 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processor
5200 Nvidia FX graphics card
896mb RAM
120gb HD
Windows XP SP2

What confuses me is that it has proven to run even on computers with less power than mine..

Hmm are you using Shivering isles or the 1.2 patch? I have heard that can cause some problems

I am one of those for whom Oldblivion ran fine even when normal game crashed a lot.
I have a Sempron running at 1.8 GHz and a GeForce 5700 FX. I was running with quite a lot of mods, but without shivering Isles. And as the game itself is very much about the visual candy, I found that the mod took away quite some pat of it. As a result, I am hopefully going to upgrade my olī machine and play Oblivion as it was meant to be :)

Now, to try and be helpful - what settings do you have on in Oldblivion and what is the errror message you get?
