Seeing as the 1st thread is getting rather large now I thought it would be a good idea to start a new one.
=======================

Okie, got the new cd and doing a complete new install. I'll add the folowing mods to BG2

Ascension
BG2 extra mechants
Easy of Use mod
Sola
Valen
Kelsey
Tashia
Illich
Ritual
lvl-50 spell set (not sure if I should do that)
Item upgrade (not sure either)

Which shouldnt be installed? Or shall install them all.

I was going to wait until the next release before doing a reinstall.

I was going to use:

WeiDU Baldurdash Remix
BG2 extra mechants
WeiDU Ascension
Tashia

and a few specific things for the overide folder like the no-glow Cloak of Mirroring, one that makes the Equalizer a scimitar, & the improved look Robe of Vecna.

I've toyed with the idea of using the Item Upgrade too. Some of the items seem a bit powerful, but I do get tired of getting umpteen pair of boots that are all rendered useless by the boots of speed. I also like the thought of not having to hit enter 6 trillion times each time I talk to Caspinar.

*dances like a Beholder!*

Improved look Robe of Vecna, Rathwellin sir? :)

I'm using

Kelsey

Right now, that's about it... :D

Ascension is scary, you see ;_; I might do something about the cloak of mirroring/spell trap animationmeow :) Just haven't seen the infamous "Hideous Orb", yet :D

Neither the Improved Items not level 50 spells mods should be installed. To do so will render fair testing near impossible.

Got the better looking robe from Baldurdash ... http://members.roger...sandcheats.html

It resemles the Robe of the Archmagi in overall style but has several color choices. Personally I use the Black & Green version. Quite spiffy. :)

The Orbless Cloak of Mirroring can be had several places. I got mine at http://www.users.big.../qtnt/index.htm

These are my fav two item tweaks bar none.

gospel, guys...

simply go into the ovverride directory, and delete

"wa2robe.itm"
"clck26.itm"

files....

you get the OLD, spiffy looking robes, and the old cheesy version of the cloak of mirrors....

and it makes quitch happy, as you are not installing any mods... :P ;)

We want fair testing... without too many extra items. RTW can stand alone too... but should also work with the above mentioned. Quitch is right... installing the extra items and especially the level 50 packs will nullify a great deal of RTW. Its meant to be a legitimate quest... what players do after release is up to them. Romances are fine, and the Baldurdash fixes. I am a little skeptical about having you add Solaufein as it introduces many new items. Just my thoughts. Whatever you install to test RTW, please make it very clear what you have.

Done some more writing and currently the following new dialogues should be in the next version:

A Beholder (done)
A Pair of Infernal Guard (done)
King Strohm (done)
Cult Gathering (almost)
Imoen 3 (done)
Hidden Knight (done)
Group of Knights (to do)
Dasypus (done)
***** Vs ***** (done)
NPC leaves the caverns (done)

There's another two dialogues that are done, but won't be active until the one that comes before them is written and put in which should happen in the version after this one.

I would drop also 'Easy of Use' and 'Baldurdash Remix' since both include a lot of cheats (at least I would not install these cheats).

Remix should be fine, assuming you only use the ToB fixes part of it.

Ease-of-use is just a cheese mod.

That would make me *very* unhappy as it seriously overpowers the cloak once more. In a mod where there is a lot to bounce back at people I would say this is crippling your ability to test.

If you want a patch, get one that changes the animation and nothing more.

;) And it's *still* on my to-do list.

Seriously, I'm looking at getting some in this weekend or early next week.

... and it has changed. I'm losing my lone WeiDU inputter sooner than expected, meaning I'll have to code a load of dialogue before we can release to you. Expect a significant delay.
