no explicit content though, so surely quite boring for underaged folks :whistling:

Nope, she has some terrible hand body mismatches and I dunno how to
get rid of the black line on the psd file (shows up near her left hand on the arm)

after all, early fuzzy apprentice work but thougt some'ld like her still.

Nope, she has some terrible hand body mismatches and I dunno how to
get rid of the black line on the psd file (shows up near her left hand on the arm)

after all, early fuzzy apprentice work but thougt some'ld like her still.

Well, first off, there's no normal file. You have to match the color of the hand to the body, if you haven't. The only way to do this is on the base body texture, with no tattoos. It's difficult to get it exact because of the seam. I dont know about the line on the arm, I'm pretty sure you can get rid of it just by painting/clone stamping over it with the neighboring color. In any case, I have a much better .psd file for you if you want it

face textures but now tries to help some friends who are in *real trouble*.

Anyways here is the motive (not the final version) that will replace the tutorial placeholder head tattoo:

You allways have my full attention, but now I'm completely all ears :)

The only method I know is head-female -> race1 for the female head, shared head and body, head male -> race2 (...)

I see no problem with myself doing that for my own installation however the method works, but some users may get
a ticket to full scaled insanity if I'm not really verbose in the installation instructions ;)

Revenant has done some head flavors of the tattooed Dani's, Hide-Ren and Natural Faces md-headhuman textures, the chinese letter Qui which stands for the Quicunx as in my sample;

GimpShop didn't do what I asked it for once again...

Gimp seems to be a reinvention of PhotoShop with complete avoidance of useability and intuitivity
as major design concepts, paired with an awkwardly shaped setup.

Just make sure the male and female meshes are assigned correctly for each version in the CS. The meshes dont have to be separted, really. In the latest download there's 9 race versions, 3 female. Males can use female face textures, and vice versa. Thats ok, I guess, but if the female face texture is VERY female, it looks weird on males. I guess it would be better to separate each race version's textures in separate folders, under Quincunx folder: Pretty much the way Ren Mystic Elf textures are set up.
Textures/Character/Quincunx
---/Female1=head textures
------/Set1=Body Textures
------/Set2=""
------/Set3=""
Do that for each version. Then make sure males and females have correct head textures assigned.

As for setting the opacity for normals, I'm not sure what your looking for. 255 is black, 80 is grey. I can add occlusion I guess, and See how it turns out. In photoshop, opacity is only set in layers from 0 to 100 %

Normal maps are in /jail directory, they should be with the rest of the texture files. That's probably why they're coming out oily like that. But I redid them anyway, because the mipmaps were making funny patterns , so I changed it to guassian, and turned off sharpening, then made new normals

Thats where they were placed in the latest download. guess you changed them then?

when I had them in the set# folders, the oiled skin effect struck, so I had created the jail folders:

quote for beta2 you didn't get (with the 1st normals)

Known glitch:
All 3 Normals are glossy, so please lock them up in a new folder
unless you wish to create your own normal maps (*_n.dds).


I've offered Revenant over at TES Eyecandy to join forces
- he works on asian head textures
and I'll have no net access for while from friday on, due to moving.

That means, if you like, you could be project leader then :)
- seperate release by you of your new textures
and by Revenant of his own content,
but both contents also integrated in the Quincunx Kuei-Jin release :)

when I had them in the set# folders, the oiled skin effect struck, so I had created the jail folders:
