As for being a modder to the project well... I'll go over that with you in PM and in the forums shoud the opportunity work in everyone's favor, particularly in reference to the gap of druids.
Shop talk aside, I'm glad you liked it Leahnkain.

I liked especially the dream sequence. It was quite vivid. The fight in the city was good, too. And the touch ot Shadow's secret background...
"Man, in his discussions with other men about questions of religion, statecraft, geography, trade, has always reached a point in the discussion where it has seemed wise to reply to his opponent by disemboweling him or knocking his brains out."
My name is Thomas Hockenberry, Ph.D., and I think the "Ph.D." stands for "Pouring His Draft."
"The study of modern science today is being done by the brain of primitive man."

All in the hopes of keeping the feel of SoC fluid to the scene and character, thanks Quinlan.Hi,

Anyway, keep it up.

Yep wherever Zhents go, you can be sure to have a movie in the making.Good last chapter, Solar's Harper . I too liked the hint of Shadow's background... whenever the Zhentarim are involved, it always seems to get interesting... just one little thing. Was Logan Coprith the mayor of Trademeet? Or is this some thing I'm unaware of because I haven't played CA?
Anyway, keep it up.
And you're right about that Shadowhawke, Logan Coprith is indeed the mayor of Trademeet, but there is an NPC in a nobleman's (instead of armor-clad fighter) avatar that serves as the mayor of Saltmarsh; though I be on the CA team at this current time, I'm not too sure as to the origin of this nifty coincidence. I'll leave it to someone in the know to answer that question.
Thanks as always for the review Shadowhawke.
Edit: Ze typos return

I will call this last a transitory post. Well, you cannot have thrill and action at all time.
Evading the bullet the rest of us have to bite...
I assume he was talking about a sling bullet?

Oh so true, I would quote Jan here but nah.Hi,
I will call this last a transitory post. Well, you cannot have thrill and action at all time.
Mhm, although this is the Forgotten Realms, you may never know until it is gone, no?I assume he was talking about a sling bullet?
It was either that or biting the dagger or hatchet though, so I decided for the less lethal approach - sling bullets leave a hard knock to the head though so I might've been over the level again.

Nice to hear the effect wasn't lacking too much.Even though it wasn't all action and thrills, I must say that the intrigue caught my interest very nicely. I would say instead that my only minor nitpick with this chapter was that I felt some of the events weren't explained enough or fleshed out, but that's my only gripe! And I've got to say, the picture of the assassins watching over them was quite creepy... nicely done.
Some things were intentionally left in the dark, but as for the whole issue at the start of Feralin and crew, I basically had to cut a scene or two because it wasn't maintaining fluidity with the rest of the chapter, and also was going nowhere - so in other words I had to leave out the action and thrills, but keep in the mystery.
I'll see if I can fix that up somehow in the next chapter - which will be longer, rest assured. Thanks for the post, Shadowhawke.
@Leahnkain: Hehe, don't worry Althon will be getting his spotlight soon enough, as will every other character along the pathway have their own in due time.
As for the dialogs, I'm working on it.

A lot of your ideas are really good and some of the new ideas which you have written can fit into CA anytime you like. Shadow in particular has really gained a whole new depth to her character.

Nitpicking aside, I really liked that brother/sister moment... I thought that was very sweet. Looking forwards to more.

Aye I had a feeling it wasn't flowing as smoothly as it should've been, thanks for pointing that out Shadowhawke.Ah, and the Sahuagin have come into the picture too. I'm really interested as to where you'll take this next, Solar's Harper. The sheer amount of parties involved in the intrigues promise a lot. Just one finicky thing I thought I'd mention; I felt like the flow of your chapter was broken a bit by all the different scenes and places and viewpoints that you put in. Perhaps the flow could be smoothed out if you segued the scenes into each other a little more, or didn't put as many different scenes in one chapter? Just a thought. It didn't detract that much from the overall chapter at all.
Nitpicking aside, I really liked that brother/sister moment... I thought that was very sweet. Looking forwards to more.
It was longer initially, and less flowing particularly around the action sequence on the smuggler boat, which the shapeshifting was supposed to make a return, and Aleigha was also meant to be with the group. As it turned out however, it kind of dragged on too much and eventually cuts needed to be made.
Glad you liked the brother/sister moment though, I had a fear I made it all too narrated that it would ruin the magic of the scene, but I won't argue on logic so.. Thanks.

Thanks Leahnkain.I really enjoyed reading the last chapter; it shows Althon for who he truly is. I think the story really captures the reader.

The double-sided blade, the fusion process, and with the whole 'possible' demon reference was my own imagination running rampart for reasons that will be revealed in due time.

Currently the next chapter of SoC is shall we say, drowning on writer's block. In a very bad way too, been rewritten more than 16 times (yes I've been keeping count) already and I doubt that stopping anytime soon.
So for now, I've decided to stop working on the fiction until further notice, although knowing me, it could very well be a short time later I start up again.
Basically got a lot to do with attempting to improve on writing style once again, and on how to proceed from what is admittedly, a rather slow amount of progress fiction wise.
The good news out of this dribble is there's likely to be more work on the one shots, other extensive fanfics (possibly) and more importantly, mod work. Just nothing new on SoC until that breakthrough right in the middle of uh.. something, happens, like it does with inventors and the like.
So anyways yeah, fin-of-babble.
Once (if) a new chapter is up though, consider that a sign the grave has been dug up again.
And thanks for the support and constructive critcism on SoC folks, I'll be sure to keep as much of it as I can in mind. No guarantee that'll work though, given that I have a habit of forgetting what day it is. Seriously.
