Full credit for Serana's face, textures and race go to Miss Onatopp, and her mod Elves Of Lineage II. My character is the same as the dark elf Traielieke provided in her mod for use, and Imo, the most beautiful female elf Ive seen yet in Oblivion
Also thanks to Hide for the weapons in BlackLuster mod, most amazing looking swords and lastly thanks to Skeleton K for the awsome Dark Illusion and (I think he made this other one too) the Knights of Knox armor, both stunning pieces of work.

Chronicles of Serana part I

Days of Darkness

Serana, a female dark elf warrior. After having woke up in a jail cell wearing nothing but rags and seemingly having lost all memory of her past, she has worked her way out of the dungeons of the deep to finally reach the outside world, all the while discovering strange almost perfectly instinctual combat abilities within her. She begins to build on these abilities in this strange almost new life she finds herself with. Through many great perils and successes she no longer wears the rags of her past.

Serana

Although Serana began discovering her seemingly hidden combat abilities by engaging various bandits and creatures she would run into in the wilderness, her desire for power overflows. Along her path she finally reaches civilization, the town of Chorrol. After spending some time within the huge walls of the town, ideas of ways to siege the entire place alone, and take it over begin to creep into her mind, a task that seems in reality impossible, yet she feels as though she can do it.
She begins working late into the night, removing one guard at a time in the shadows, and then disappearing just to return from a different position and kill again. By dawn she has completely removed the towns guards from the main gated area, ruthlessly slaughtering even towns folk who she comes across during the siege.
A final daring attempt is made, and she assaults the town's castle itself. She barely survives the ordeal, being outnumbered during many fights while inside, but finally the castle is hers, no one is left alive within its walls...

After having managed to take over the castle, Serana has had some time to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of owning the castle. Her room is now what used to be the countess's main chambers, an elaborate environment Serana is not used to since her days sleeping in the jail cell. But every night she lays her head down she knows it may be her last night, and that this little piece of heaven will not last for long...

Chronicles of Serana part II

Redemption

After recklessly killing the messenger whom was sent by the chancellor of the Imperial City, Serana realizes now she has little time before the army will be sent, and knows she has no chance alone. She spends the rest of the day on the highest watch tower of the castle, thinking about what can be done. As time goes on, darkness falls and it begins to storm..

The tower

Weary

A strange image comes to mind

A piece of the forgotten past found

Serana finds images of a strange place in her mind, but its although she has never been there. Going on pure impulse, as if some unknown force guides her, she chases her new dream..

Blasting through the gates

Into the unknown

Riding on deep into the night

Dawn arrives and her path ends..

A strange looking island

Very strange

Only one way to get there

Swim

Forbidding looking place

A gateway sourounded by madness

Serana discovers the people here at this 'portal' gateway are completely mad, it seems they have lost their minds, they have nothing to offer in knowing what is beyond the gate, only that whatever is there, seems to have driven these people beyond the realm of sanity. This does not deter her, there is no going back, only forward. She steps forward into the doorway of blinding light..

A new world

Following the path

The end of the trail, what is this place?

An unwelcoming face

The seemingly 'unhappy' guard does not stop her as she opens the huge doors and goes inside..

The images from a dream now come to life

Serana walks up the long set of stone stairs, and finds a doorway she feels she must go through

At the door

Another guard

A threatening look from the guard, almost as if she knows who Serana is..

After a seemingly long stare at Serana, the guard grabs the hilt of her sword, Serana reacts and draws hers..

Unexpected

Trouble

A new blade

Falls into view

Overwhelmed, Serana makes a choice

Giving up

Her sword

At their mercy

At the edge of their swords

Try anything and Aurmazl will not hesitate to kill you.

I will tell the general of this, if she trys anything, cut her from ear to ear.

Leaving

Sharp edge

After a short but very uncomfortable wait, the guard returns and the two escort her through the door and into the palace..

In the throne room

Forced march

The "general"

1

3

You are a fool to have come back here.. after what you have done

Rest assured you will not leave here alive

Please, I do not know who you are, nor do I remember my past, except that I remembered this place from a dream..

You dare mock me in my own palace???

She grabs Serana by the arm and pulls the side of her neck to the blade

Cold steel

Tell me again your little story, before you die.

A deep sadness washes over Serana as the blade cuts in

All hope is lost, the end has come

For some strange reason, the 'General' withdraws the blade from her neck

Child..

I cannot do this

Her face, tells of truth in what she says

Serana looks on, now completely lost and confused

The general sheaths her blade and looks at Serana for a long moment, as if trying to read her face, trying to understand what this all means..

Guards! Leave us

1

I do not know why I should believe you, but Gods forgive me, I do. If what you say is true, do you have any idea what you have done to your own people, Serana?

Remembering Chorrol

The slaughter

A deep pain

The terrible slaughter

What have I done?

As Serana falls apart, the general tells her that she knows about what happened in Chorrol, and of the terrible ruthless murder of innocents there. She then says that there is far worse that she has done than this as well to the Aureal.

More pain

Serana, listen to what I tell you

The general then tells Serana about a great leader she once knew, who led the Aureals to many victories. The general continues.. "Not that long ago, during the great battle of Chydinahl, our leader turned on her own people in the midst of battle. For no apparent reason she went into a frenzy, attacking anyone near her, both friend and foe. She killed many of the Aureals, until she was finally knocked down by Issmi's war hammer. It was assumed she was dead. Because of our leaders treachery we were pushed back by the enemy. Few of us that fought in the battle survived, and those who did, fled back through the gate to our world."

The one whom I speak of..

Is you

And now here you stand before me

I cannot remember this, but forgive me for these terrible things I have done to you and your people.

I accept whatever fate is decided for me.

I need to think..

What is to be done now?

A decision made

Serana, daughter of Skyrim. My name is Aurig Desha.

Aurig continues.. "I have known you for many years as a good friend and a great leader. Since you have been gone we have greatly missed the one that led us to so many victories. It was an honor to fight by your side through the many battles we won under your command. We have never had before, nor after, a leader and a fighter greater than you."

What you have done, by our laws, is only punishable by death.

"But this is not the same the person I saw on the battlefield that terrible night, that person I believe is indeed dead, so the law has been fulfilled. I do not know, nor want to know, what happened to you, only that you will never do this again.
If you truly wish to accept the fate I hold for you, then you will accept my offer to once again lead our people to victory against the Imperials"

WHAT?!?!

What say you?

How can I accept this, knowing what I had become, what I had done?

Aurig, seemingly indifferent to Serana's plea, instructs Serana to kneel before her

Being sworn in

As the new leader of the Aureal, and the ruler of the Shivering Isle's

Alice In..

Wonder Land

Aurig salutes the new general

Still in

Wonderland

Alice?

Some time passes, and Serana slowly regains some more memory of her past, and begins to truly take on the task of being a leader once again. Although she still does not remember that terrible night on the battlefield, she remembers the war against the Imperials she so passionately fought as the commander of the Aureals, which was a war for the sake of good. What she did to the innocent in Chorrol may haunt her as long as she lives, but she knows she must return there, and soon.
If the Aureals are to capture and hold the town against the Imperial Army, they have little time before the Imperials get there before them, if it is not already too late.

The new leader of the Aureal

Yea. Responses for stories here can have some time in between them. Blame it mostly on the traffic (Spellhold has very light Oblivion user traffic for the most part). It probably wouldn't be so bad if there were bit more people here from the other boards, as well as if a few others started posting again.

Really like the story so far. Having a Dark elf (Lineage) be Commander of the Aureal's is definitely something quite different!

Can't wait to read more!
A moderate amount of evil is nature to all.
If one is to control their nature, then they
must accept both the light and the dark.

Thanks Ryu Doppler :)

For sure there arent a whole lot of Oblivion sites that even offer up stories areas (errr, are there any others? :P). At least they got this, and thats kinda cool.

It will be a while before the next part comes in, just to do these 2 parts took around 1000 pics to sort thru (because I get fanatical about lighting/angles :P) , but its fun to make all the same.

Cheers :)
