Hey everyone,

I know there is a class called Snipper (it is not a prestige class) does anyone have a link to where I can find the info for it. I think it is from the Complete Fighter or Adventurer book.

Are you thinking of the Scout from Complete Adventurer? It's sort of a Wildernessy Rogue(Ranger/Rogue?)

The only snipers (and I'm assuming you meant sniper not snipper) I can see are Deepwood Sniper(Races of the Wild) and Warsling Sniper (Races of Faerun). The former is a stealthy bow master, the latter a Halfling specialized in firing a sling.

no. my friend showed it to me last week. it is just sniper, if I remember correctly. Well I sent him and e-mail to give me the info and I see him tommarow, so it will be find.

I just wanted to see if I could find it on-line.

It's hard enough finding full information on non-core classes, races, and whatnot online that were introduced by later official books, but if it was a class introduced in a magazine or the like, it's very unlikely you'll find it online. The Deepwood Sniper, Warsling Sniper, and Spellwarp Sniper are all prestige classes, but there's all manner of other prestige classes devoted to ranged combat-the Heartseeker, Order of the Bow Initiate, Ballisteer, Cragtop Archer, and Soulbow to name a few.

Whew, for a second there, I thought it was a class which focused on haircutting.
Why would a Sniper be different than an Archer?

Sniping, as defined by DnD, is making a ranged attack while hiding, then making an immediate Hide check to return to the shadows after taking the shot, at a -20 penalty. A class based around that tactic of hiding and shooting would be a true sniper class in the DnD sense, but I've never found one mentioned, prestige or otherwise.

Well I'll ask Paul about it tommarow. Then I'll post the info her for all to see. I may just be remembering the class name wrong. But it was a really nice class.

Iron Kingdoms d20 adventurer book has a Marksman class, but that is a prestige class
Races of the Wild - Deepwood Sniper, that is a prestige class however

These are the true Sniper classes. The classes that Tempest says, like Order of the Bow Initiate does stuff with the bow, but is not about sniping but other tricks with the bow. Just like Arcane Archer is.

I know of no official Sniper as main class
(heck, even my own unofficial stuff is all prestige class stuff that holds true to this idea, that indeed go into a -10 penalty instead of -20 and stuff like that (so different from the Wiki stuff and more like Iron Kingdoms))

Mene, I thought that was a cool title, though - a new class:

SNIPPER

(Faerunian Combat Seamstress).

Class Feats: Dual Wield Scissors, Power Seam, and Enhance Dexterity.

Favored Weapons; scissors, dagger, throwing needles, blowgun, sequins.

Bonuses:
L1 ability to reduce AC of any humanoid opponent by one by each successful hit (removing armor)

L4 10% chance per critical hit to remove all armor; follow up attack 20% stun target (embarasment for loosing trousers or clothing in front of others)

L7 40% chance for L4 special, plus special attack; Sequin Spray, operating as a minor Glitter Dust spell.

L10+ Automatic fabrication of masterwork clothing, and increased bonuses on fabrication of objects using exotic materials.

Class penalties:
reduction of sight radius by 2' per level gained, +1 to detect traps each loss (going nearsighted).
